    Dan Birmingham: “My guys watch me closely when I wrap. But what you’re talking about here happens pretty quickly. The pad goes on and then you put more gauze over it. So sure;

Pat Burns: “Some fighters don’t pay attention when their hands are being wrapped. They’re listening to music or talking to someone or watching a television monitor. And even if they’re watching, they’re not wondering what’s in the knuckle pad. If I wanted to put a few layers of hardened gauze inside a fighter’s knuckle pads,

Freddie Roach: “If I did something like that, which I wouldn’t,

And if I was the fighter; Eddie Futch [who trained Roach] would never have done something like that. But if he had, I think he could have kept it secret from me.”

Don Turner: “I wouldn’t do it. I don’t cheat. But if I wanted to, unless what I was putting into the knuckle pad was very heavy,

Emanuel Steward: “My experience has been that a fighter watches very closely when his hands are being taped. But in a situation like this, it’s definitely possible that a trainer could put an insert in the knuckle pad without the fighter knowing. When I get in the dressing room before a fight, one of the first things I do is make two knuckle pads and put them on the table. I don’t put them in my bag. I leave them out on the table, and so does every other trainer I know of. So I have a hard time believing that Capetillo took the wrong knuckle pads out of his bag by mistake. But the fighter doesn’t watch me make the knuckle pads. A lot of times, the fighter isn’t even there when I make them. So

unless I told him or the pads were heavy enough that he could feel a difference.”

Naazim Richardson: “I’m the wrong person to ask about this. If a guy is driving a truck and tries to run my daughter over and misses, don’t ask me what the punishment should be. But to be fair, yes,

on the contrary, read the quotes. Its an insert in the knuckle pads that Margo can neither see nor feel.

    He probably got ****ed over.

Great read philla , and if he is innocent are his wins still tarnished ? even if he himself was not cheating ? or is he still technically cheating?

well he's not completely innocent, just unaware. Its not his fault but I'd say he's still cheating since he has an unfair advantage. There is definately an * on his past performances. It would be nice if now that Capetillo is banned someone can get him to talk about whether he put those inserts for all of Margo's fights as well as all the other fighters that he's trained.

Is it possible he didn't know?.... Sure.

Is it possible he did? .......Sure.

It's also entirely possible that, whether he knew or not, that he used them before....or not.

We may never know the truth with any degree of certainty, except for the fact that the dude had a foreign substance concealed in his pads.

I boxed for 4 years. I was used to my hands being wrapped a certain way. If my coach put a extra line of gauze between my kunckles or wrapped a extra layers across my knuckles I would ask him to do it like he normally does it...mean you can tell the difference. If he couldn't tell the difference then that means he was accustomed to having the plaster in his hands in the first place.

Bottom line..Plaster gets hard as it gets wet which means it would weigh down your hands right? Wouldn't you notice something weighing down your hands (if you're not used to having that extra weight) especially once you take off your gloves????

Hes a ****ing cheater and he should never fight again. Its crazy how lightly people are taking this.

Maybe had Margo got up after the handwrapping and started hitting mitts, the heavybag and his opponent and not felt any difference his detractors may have some sort of case.

As it stands his hands were not even finished wrapping and he was still seated so it's very likely he never noticed the difference at that time. You can't ban a man on mere supposition without absolute proof. It's why you are innocent until proven guilty in the criminal justice system because of the stakes involved.

What motivation would Capetillo have for suddenly loading his gloves without Margarito's knowledge? That's the question that nobody's ever given me a good answer for.

paul williams has openly stated that he did not believe margo had an illegal hand wrap. cotto and martinez have made no comment.

kermit the frog, for whatever it's worth, believes he had hand wraps.

who really knows how many fights that he had the wraps with. if it was only for the mosely fight, then margo is going to be a great +350 bet at 151.

unlike that fuc_ing worthless bum clottey, margo will come to fight and will ko paq or get ko'd trying.

this is a much better fight than clottey/paq. that was embarrasing. a guy with 15 more pounds of solid muscle getting bullied around by the smaller man. hopkins in his prime(160) routinely came in at fight night at 170 pounds while mosely in his prime(147) routinely came in at 155-157.

Could anyone ever see mosely bullying around hopkins?
