We now have a situation on our hands where Floyd Mayweather Jr. seems to be consorting with the infamous Don King. I've heard a lot of positive and a lot of negative on the matter and have come to one inescapable conclusion. Very simply, Floyd vs. Pacquiao is the greatest fight in boxing history and the greatest fight period since Achilles vs. Hector. The only missing ingredient to this point has been history's greatest promoter.

I absolutely believe every word Don King says when he tells us that he and Bob Arum can make this fight happen in the blink of an eye. We're talking about the two cagiest veteran promoters who have ever lived and who can make a megafight happen.

Unload any and all of the negative baggage you may carry around in you about Don King and the apparent misgivings he has had in the past. Embrace him as the man who can make the fight that we want to see become a reality.

to be honest i dont see why people hate on King anyway

so what if alot of his fighters ended up broke

you have to remember that before they got broke he made them millions!

its not his fault that they were so stupid that swindling money from them was like taking candy from a baby...

king's the greatest promoter in the history of sports period

I don't care who promotes the fight, as long as it just f'en happens.

It's amazing that considering the fourty year feud between Arum and King, that King has a better chance of making the fight happen than GBP. As much as I hate all of these scumbags, it would be appropriate for the two biggest promoters ever to stage this event. Please make it happen!

perhaps but floyd is going to get robbed by king lol. People never learn. King is infamous in not paying their fighters to what they agree on.

Believe me, if Don gives anyone a contract for $100M in a multiple fights deal he found a way to screw them over. :deal
But if he can make the 'you know what' fight, I'm cool with it. :good

Take Mike Tyson for example. He could have been the first billionaire athlete. He was just very irresponsible with his money. Not Don King's fault. :deal

agree, and don't see why some can't see this

although, king may be the type who enables his fighter's bad spending habits to keep them to want to fight to make that $, but that is just speculation

I hope King helps make the fight because it needs to happen.

The downside to that though is Pac will have no chance on the cards should the fight go the distance. Floyd wins, rematch made, same ****.

Agree with that... but King screwed him over also, and many more boxers.

Manny already catipulated to all the demands. The fight was already there. Floyd doesn't want it. This is Floyd's last attempt at pretending he wants the fight.
