good luck with that...there is a reason all the local fighters on the undercard are in SO soft. the promoters know what is coming in the main event

 

I've been here for a while now. Everbody knows i'm a Bute fan. I have never liked Pascal before his Froch fight. He showed great heart and a good chin in this fight.

You also have to remember he beat Diaconu twice, the man Chad didn't want to fight.

I don't have a bad record when it comes to predictions but I try to stay away when my hometown fighter is in the ring.

I will cheer for Pascal though

 

Actually no, you're wrong. The promoter got a deal with Garry Shaw. because this fight is happening in Summer, it's harder to bring in a big crowd. So they wanted local fighters for the crowd to know them instead of having unknown (To Montreal) fighters from the US.

no you misunderstand. i know local fighters would be on the undercard. my point is the opponents they are bringing in are bigger bums than usual and have 0 chance of winning. it seems like they scour supermarkets in mexico to find these guys

Ahhh okay. Well, Lemieux was supposed to be on the undercard but unfortunatly, finding an opponent is really difficult with his record. He's becoming a main attraction type of guy a little sooner then expected. Hence the weak undercard. But yes, they tend to go to Mexico's underworld bars to find their meat.

And still, it's difficult to pay undercard rates to good opponents when the fight is in summer.

 

If the Chad that fought Glen Johnson the firsts time shows up he's a deadman. If the one that fought him the second time that has a Jab shows up it`ll be more difficult.

 

Yup. No ones going to deny he's the underdog but Pascal is much betteer then that these days. Also, **** if Chad Dowson's got a beard like Froch Pascal pretty much won't have a chance. But he doesn't. Infact the evidence is that he has a really shitty chin for a top fighter. So there is hope.

It does actually seem more logical then people are making out. Pascal will be taking way more chances then either of those guys were willing to take. Which is why he has a better chance of winning but he is not as seasoned and cautious so yes there is a better chance this fight ends in a KO for Dawson then his last couple of fights. But there is also a better chance that he himself gets knocked out.

 

245-55-4. That is the record of the guys that Dawson has fought in title fights. 304 fight and 7 ko loses. 6 of those ko loses came from two guys both of who Dawson knocked out. Take away those two guys and the record is 195-43-4, 242 fights and ONE knockout lose. Your point is mute.

 

I don't agree. Pascal has a good chin. Chances of Pascal getting iced would be... hummm, slim to none.

Once again these French Promoters don't get it.Pascal,like Bute,Alcine,Lemieux are a big fish in a small pond.
HBO Canada will not be televising this event due to the promoters greed and it will be broadcast ONLY on Bell TV on a $50 pay per view -in the FRENCH language only.This not anly limits the basic audiance to the fine folks in the Province of Quebec,but it deprives the fighters od national exposure.
Montreal and the Quebec is the only place in Canada where these guys draw-and that is the sad fact.:-(
