There is probably some truth in that. But many of us can decide whether a boxer is the real deal or not regardless of whether he's your best mate on a forum.

I get carried away with the potential of home (scouse) boxers. I know that. Probably because these are the people I've seen box more than most others, through ams, sparring and pro shows. But I'm still hopeful that I can put the blinkers away and look objectively. IMO, Bellew is a future world champ if he continues progressing at the same rate.

I have seen Bellew since the amateurs and been posting on boxing websites for years about him...:yep

He is the real deal and will rule for a longtime once he gets there...:yep

This ain't nut huggin, it is a well known fact...:deal

I have respect for Cleverley because everything he has done up until recently he has been at college and not boxing full time... I do like him but think whenever him and Tony Bellew fight it will be a bridge too far and it goes no more than 5 rounds...:yep

Right now Clev has the experience and would just edge a close decision imo but in 2-3 years i think bellew could be better

Cleverly gets underrated a fair bit in comparison to Bellew, because Tony posts here of course.

Cleverly is a good fighter. He already has world class offensive ability and terrific athletic quality. He does lack in areas that could be exposed against somebody like Bellew though, its pretty obvious where his weaknesses lie and the truth is he's yet to prove his durability.

Bellew will win in 6. Cleverley is far to sloppy. Bellew's skills get underated on here because he has KO power (much as a lot of other boxers with KO power do).

He can't win on here, he either gets overated because he posts on here or massively underated by some for the same reason. Bellew vs Clev will happen sooner rather than later IMO and when it does, you'll all see how his power isn't overated, his skills are definitely underated and Cleverly is too wide.

People just assume that Cleverly has the skills to keep Bellew at arms distance and just outbox him all night. The fact of the matter is, we have never seen Cleverly have to fight on the back foot, and we can safely assume he isn't gonna force Bellew back so somethings got to give..... Bellew's power or Cleverly's chin. I'm telling you now it will be the latter. He won't get away with his poor defence against Bellew :deal
