he is, but i guess "the black russian" sounds more market worthy than the "black ukranian". so many dumb people nowadays people will just assume he's a black version of ivan dragov simply because he's russian lol. most people probably wont even where or what ukraine is.

Wherever he's from, he's pretty good. But I suspect he might be rushed into a title shot, which isn't good, when the belt holders at light heavy are tough cookies.

tbh i can see him beating tavoris cloud, cloud seems like a sucker for a fighter with a good jab. and not only does sillakh has a good jab, he's got an almost unlimited arsenale of punches that hit with authority. i can see guys like sillakh and cleverly beating cloud, chad dawson is really the most talented of all the LHW belt holders.

He was in Ward's camp in prepapration for Green. Claims he gave Ward fits and hurt him once :) Now he has sort of vacation in Ukraine, has no fights scheduled in US but may appear on the Klichko-Peter undercard.
All the info is from his blog.

Read somewhere that he was going to try and sign with German company, so he might be fighting in Europe next.

There is Ismaill's blog on Ukrainian boxing website vringe.com/blogi/tags/55/
According to his recent posts Ismaill hopes to be in Klitschko-Peter Sept. 11th undercard fight. However he has some problems with finding contenders. Two fights were recently canceled due to opponents' rejections.
