Charles had a good 1-2. Maybe not the best but good. This content is protected Yeah I know he decked him with a left hook but this still is a sweet pic.
Just trying to count how many 1-2's Frazier absorbed against Ali in the first first induces headaches. It really was like liquid pouring on his head in the early goings. Arguello's was beautiful; crisp, simple and devastating. He always used to say if he managed to land just one good punch a round he was happy; an economic assassin indeed. A couple of the golden' oldies' - Joe Gan's and Jim Driscoll, both had legendary 1-2's. More recently Kostya Tszyu. When he fed his cross down the pipe after the left it usually got results.
Excellent pick. One of the best sharp-shooters. Probably undermentioned for no other reason than fighting southpaw.
Thanks for additions Ted. I totally agree, Kostya Tszu had some sort of homing device on his opponents mouths. Beautiful technique on that 1-2. I need to find out more about Driscoll. Arguello's 1-2 had so much energy behind it I could see how he'd be happy by only landing 1 of them a round. LOL

Startled that Peter Jackson hasn't been mentioned yet. Some credit him as the innovator for using the left to tilt up the chin for the right. Lack of film causes him to be overlooked for this, but many eyewitness accounts report this as his key weapon.
