See? It isn't just Europe where "People get robbed". :deal

So americans can stop whining; you're not hard done by and your country is just as bad. Boxing is corrupt; not the countries that host it.

Only blind Americans think boxing ain't corrupt here. This is a prime example indeed.

I feel Dirrell deserved the nod in the fight, but won't go as far as to say "robbery" .. I like to reserve that word for fights that really warrant it.

    Like Alexander/ Kotelnik

    This.

The cries of robbery is utterly pathetic on here. Robbery/overrated/hyped/exposed are however, the most used word on this forum, unfortunately. Hence the reason why people are overly protected in professional boxing, because douchebags are willing to write people off for one bad outing.

Froch/Dirrell was close and most people agree that Dirrell gave it away. He fought scared and lost. Maybe if he had fought more agressively, it would have backfired but that's besides the point, really. His fighting style cost him. You don't deserve to win titles when you run and hold like he did.

Alexander looked stupid against Kotelnik. He looked like an amatuer and was thoroughly outboxed.

Nope!! That ****er "ran" away from a win

Kotelnik deserved the win, if he only was a little more busy...

People keep saying Kotelnik needed to be busier, I don't agree. I think he fought the perfect fight and boxed amazingly well. He found the balance between good strong defense and employing aggressive counter punching. For the style and gameplan he used, it was perfection. It's not his fault that the judges have other ideas on scoring fights.

He did well against AA but was a screw-up ****er against Froch... I only react like this when people use the word "rob" with Dirrell VS Froch :D

No and may'be so (it depends on what you like)

Dirrell needed to take the title and he didn't. Close fight, no robbery. If you like volume, Alexander is your man. If you like clean, effective punching Kotelnik is your man. It just depends on what you like, personally, I had Kotelnik 116-112.

Like said above. Robbery/overhyped/overrated,etc. gets thrown around WAYYYY too much on here.

    true.

I had it 115-113 for Kotelnik and I score heavy for champions. ESB in general has a case for pushing for the underdog which is why Kotelnik and and Dirrell get so much love.

Another example is Malignaggi v Diaz in Houston

I do agree about Dirrell and Kotelnick, i think they should both be entitled to feel hard done by, however there is a case on both sides that Froch and Alexander did enough to win

I wouldnt call them robberies as such, robberies are extreme. For example

    Lewis v Holyfield 1
    De La Hoya v Trinidad
    Reid v Ottke
And the Judge who would have given Julio Cesar Chavez the victory had it of gone to points against Meldrick Tayaylor

    These are robberies

And basically any fight that happens in Germany!

This is the problem IMO, 'robbery' is way overused and when a legit happens, it rarely gets full attention. Froch-Dirrell was close, could've gone either way, the judges and fans were split and many argue that the wrong man won based on Dirrell doing the more damage in a tight 12-rounder. No robbery.

On the other hand, Alexander-Kotelnik wasn't even close, Kotelnik clearly won based on both clean effective punching (quality) and number of punches landed (quantity, and no, Devon didn't land 200 punches LOL), you see an average of 8-4 round scorecards here (some closer, some wider) and 80% had Andriy winning with Don King judges having 8-4 to Alexander. Now THAT's a daylight robbery.

Mosley-DLH II, Tito-Oscar, Williams-Martinez, Froch-Dirrell, close fights with possibly the wrong winner. Valuev-Holyfield, De La Hoya-Sturm, Alexander-Kotelnik, Chavez-Whitaker: robberies by definition, they were clearly robbed of the victory.

Yes indeed, and besides that, the Froch fight was scored a SD:
    114-113
    113-115
    113-115
What's so unfair about a close scoring in a close fight, good call from the judges!!

Even if they let Froch win a lopsided UD then it wouldn 't be called a "robbery" but just bad scoring from the part of the judges. Either man deserved the win but the nod went to Froch, so suck it up robbery-whining-bitches!!
