Atlas said the reason the povetkin fight didnt go ahead was the his fighter was not ready. As far as i know and you can correct me if im wrong, that the winning bid (klits company) for the fight follows the rules of the sanctioning body in issuing the contract. Ive seen klits manager boente or whatever his name is quoted as saying they only follow the rules set out by the sanctioning body when they won the contract. So the terms of the contract were already set before the winning bid announced so if sauerland had won the bid they would have given the same terms!!

As I said, he offered the beltless Valuev 2.5 million before he dropped it to 1.5 million. In the end, the difference is that the Klitschko fight in huge 60,000 seat arenas which allows them to offer their challengers more than Haye ever will. Also, Haye refuses to split skybox pay per view with anyone. That's why he won't fight Wlad. Wlad wants an even split of UK pay per view and Haye won't give it up.
