Just out of interest Flea Man, were would you rate Manny Pacquiao all-time? Don't need an exact number, just a general area.

What makes you think Mayweather beats a prime De La Hoya when he made tough work of an old DLH?

Flea, his lightweight campaign was nothing short of incredible. I used to marval at the speed and power he showed at that weight.

I think Floyd would have his hands full.

I pretty much think the fight would go the way Flea suggested except that I see it as a 50/50: either Floyd wins a close but clear decision, or Shane stops him. The speed difference won't be anywhere near as obvious which would make the rounds a lot more competitive.

Not suggesting I think Floyd is top 10 of all time, nor am I suggesting any unbeaten fighter has an argument to take victories over the ATGs but IMO Floyd's intelligence and willingness to do only what he needs to to win makes it impossible to rule him out completley until such a time when we can more accurately gage his ability (i.e. when he is beaten). The number of World Champions he has beaten, and the clinics he has put on against good opposition when he has felt like it, stand him apart from other unbeaten fighters in this respect IMO.

So until George Collins lost to Gary Jacobs he was a potential Ray Robinson conqueror?

He wont fight Pacquaio - which tells you he is stalling on proving how great he is.

To prove your great beyond doubt surely you have to beat great fighters ?

Castillio and De La Hoya gave Mayweahter his toughest nights.

    Pacquaio is level above that.

    No. Read my post properly.

George Collins was unbeaten but he hadn't fought anyone of particular note. He didn't give the impression that he had gears to move through during his unbeaten spell either. He was what he was.

If you read back through my posts I haven't said that Floyd is great beyond doubt. What I've said is that he is an unknown quantity because he hasn't been tested to the full.

Pacquiao references are irrelevant to the point at hand.

I'm neither a Floyd nor a Pac man lover. What your comments about Floyd not wanting the fight suggest White Tiger is that you are biased against Floyd.

We boxing fans don't know the detail behind the failed negotiations so to say categorically that it was Floyd who did not want the fight is bias. Perhaps something to do with your view on the real topic of discussion here? :hey
