Ali ud or cuts tko. I'm talking about the Ali who still had the fleetest feet ever. He'd circle, float around the ring, let Wlad try and press the action, make him miss, counter with the occasional right. It'd basically be that until Wlad got tired and/or frustrated. By the late rounds I think Wlad would probably have a couple of cuts and a puffy face. So possibly a late stoppage. In these kind of time machine matchups, I always assume it's a 15 round fight. I think it would be a very slow, quite dull fight. Not a chess match so much as Ali running away but landing more counters than he takes. Wlad's got the height and reach but Ali's a lot faster on his feet and his footwork is all around better. Wlad would have a hard time cutting the ring off and that's not really part of his game anyway.
this one is actually a hard one, as we've never really seen Ali face someone aller than him, if Ali were to win, it would be because of his iron chin above all, and possibly his footwork, but idk, i think he would probably jump in and out throwing fluries at Wlad
I dont think people should do this kind of comparison. All or most of the world record in every sport are beaten or was beaten not to long ago. Athlete are now better for all kind of reason legit or not, so even if i will not make some friends here, if we make this fight in 2010 with with a prime Ali of his own era, Ali will be beaten. Sorry about that by the way, but thats the truth of it.
I think that Ali is one of the very few boxers who can outbox a Klitschko (either brother). His speed and footwork would cause Wlad big troubles. Considering Wlad's chin and Ali's speed, a KO is very possible.
my point exactly, Wlad has NEVER dealt with serious speed before, he would get cut up bad, and he would clinch Ali ALOT, although i wouldnt be suprised if it went to a decision, a Ali late stoppage is very likely, this match-up would be interesting to see how Ali deals with the height disadvantage
Yeah, there always is IF, even if Wlad would have been a huge underdog, it still would be a big challenge for Ali to beat a big skilled boxer with huge power.
Ali be clear UD, maybe late stoppage, too much speed, skill and slickness, although Wlad would do much better than Vitali.
