Just curious. I first watched it years ago and liked it but recently I tried to rewatch it and found it near unwatchable. I'm a fan of both and loved the first and second fight, they should've just called it a tie and left it at that after the second fight.

I thought it was ok the first time I watched it but found it very boring the 2nd time.

Me too I feel the exact same way. I couldn't watch it all, still can't. Hearns-Leonard II was a good scrap though it's unfortunate Tommy didn't pick up the W he deserved.

Yeah I'm pretty sure some people like it I'm just trying to dig them out. Hopefully MAG gets on here I wanna here his take.

All you could do was shake your head, go back to your corner, and scream 'NO MAS!!!'

Duran actually being friendly pre fight to Leonard was not a good sign. Duran was only in it for the money, Leonard would of been better off with a pair running spikes than boxing gloves that night.

He will say that the lightwieghts that Duran faced were not that good and that when Duran faced any one that was good ie Leonard, Benitez, Hearns he lost because he could not cope with speed or pure boxers.

MAG might also say that Duran was in his prime for all of those bouts and might well still be prime.

Lol, Duran did only want the $$$$ he had no intention to win and probably knew he wasn't going to win.

Yeah, you're baiting him in hopefully he does arrive to this thread.

Good insight. Leonard-Duran II should've been the last fight between the two.

THis was absoulutely the worst major fight i have ever seen. Some of it might have to do with me anticipating Duran coming out fired up, but this was probably his worst performance all he did was Paw with harmless jabs and all Leonard do was ride on his Bike. One of the biggest letdowns ive ever seen.

Well they had two fights, their third meeting was a scam to screw the super rich Steve Wynn, it worked well.

if the decision was given the other way then it would be constantly brought up in best victory threads, most exciting fight threads, most brutal brawl threads, most technical fight threads, most significant fight threads etc
