Also: Dawson looks like he sustained a swollen right eye in sparring. No biggie, just pointing it out.

Come on Reg man, wake up. It's obvious I was using my wily gambling skills to bolster the odds of a Ward win. I am one of the most respected posters on ESB, so when I say that Green will win, people will flock to the Casino/Bookmaker to put a bet on. Meanwhile I am raking in the cash through Andre Ward. It's one of the oldest tricks in the book, and I am an expert in utilising it. :happy:happy:happy

So if Pascal wins, that means you were totally wrong?

When people say Dawson is going to dominate this fight, I don't think they mean he's going to go out there and knock this guy out in 3 rounds. Knocking guys out early isn't the only way to dominate.

No man, because I keep my cards close to my chest. It's up to you to discern if my opinion is a bona fide one or not. That is the essence of an expert gambler. I never give the game away.:deal

Perhaps not early, but I don't even see much basis for a stoppage at all.

Chad hasn't knocked anyone out in three years, and Pascal has never been stopped. :verysad

At times Pascal would try to box Froch and he'd lose. Being particularly offset by Froch's jab. Dawsons jab is longer and quicker.

Again, he's only fought Tarver and Johnson in that timeframe. So that's a deceptive stat. Pascal might be younger and faster, but he's not as good defensively, is not as crafty, and may not be as tough as those guys.

I refuse to go round in circles with you BigReg, especially over such a trivial issue. I'm saying that there is little basis to suggest that Dawson will be stopping anyone on Saturday night. We'll continue this discussion after the fight itself if you so wish, but for now, it can no longer serve a purpose. :good

I'm cheering for Pascal but frankly I have to disagree with people thinking there is no basis for the idea that Pascal might get knocked out early against Dawson. I've watched pascal for years now and whenever he takes a step up in class, such as when he fought Froch and Diaconu the first time, I am always very worried about him getting knocked out. His style is soo wild and his tires to ride soo many punches that I am always worried about him getting caught. He's one of those guys that breaks so many rules and rides his luck soo much that you wonder when his luck will run out and he'll face a guy that is too good for him to get away with all the risky stuff he normally does.

To me this is a watershed fight for Pascal. If he can make a good acount of himself (even if he doesn't win) I'll know that all the rule breaking and risky b.s. isn't a mistake and that it doesn't limit him as a fighter. On the other hand if he gets handled easily or even worse if he gets KOed then I'll know he's a Judah or Jr. Witter or any of these other unorthadoxed guys that can look spectacular against opponents of lesser skill but against people who can physically match up to them and are technically traditional they look awful.

On the whole I think that (without taking anything away from Pascal) Chad is just too much of a physical ask for him to begin with.

I think it would be a fairly ambitious pick to suggest that Chad Dawson will be knocking out Jean Pascal early. I've already spoken about his recent fights at the top level, he isn't known as a knockout artist, and Pascal isn't easily discouraged and has been in some tough fights before himself.

The smart money is on a decision victory in favor of Bad Chad.
