Atlas has Povetkin Fight "Exhibition" Against...wait for it...Bruce Seldon

Povetkin will fight twice by the end of 2010, then he will fight a top-10 fighter at the beginning of 2011 and then a title fight :roll:

This is...pointless. I don't understand. He might as well have had a "dark exhibition" circle jerk. It would have had the exact same effect.

I'm not sure how this whole Povetkin-Atlas thing is going to work out. I don't have a problem with him not fighting Wlad but he needs to get in the ring with good fighters. He's not active enough and his competition has been going downhill for a couple years now. Its too early to write Povetkin off as wasted talent right now but he's heading in the wrong direction at the moment.

 

Anybody have video of the Seldon "exhibition?" No headgear, regular gloves, three minute rounds, referee...these hardly look like exhibitions. Looks like the commission dropped the ball here. Daniels and Seldon have no business in an unsanctioned fight with someone like Povetkin.
