Just looking at the EBU site and Viorel Simion is named as challenger for the vacant EU Featherweight title alongside Patrick Hyland. Simion is ranked 5th in Europe and Hyland 11th. Looks like it could be a tough fight for Patrick but hopefully it finally gets made this time and hopefully it's in Ireland.

 

I havent got a page like the others, cause barry McGuigan does a piece on a Saturday-i dnt think it always makes the paper here though? so there is no real day!

This week there was five boxing stories( six i hope i didnt see todays paper and a john Duddy bit tomorrow) just news as it comes!

Good to hear about Pajo- i heard he was finding it hard to get guys in against him! no one wanted to fight him

they got it recorded(despite the system going down before caseys fight) and as far as i was aware Setanta would take boxing pre recorded if it was for nothing! Im sure their sponsors would be deligthed if it made tv- not to mention it would raise Willie's profile.worth just giving to someone for nothing if need be!!!

The card is defo TV worthy much better than some of the Sky shows
