No, he is landing shots. A World class puncher would be taking this level of opposition out.

Overwhelming Adamu was impressive, but he's no puncher. Frankie Gavin is no puncher, yet he is flooring and battering the opposition he's in with as well as overwhelming them.

You will see, Groves is no puncher. Kell Brook ain't either:good

I'm with beeston on this one. so what if the fight was not watched by anyone and has done nothing to enhance his ranking. he faced a different kind of opponent who probably presented more of a challenge than most of his opponents to date.

    Agreed.

I'd hope that this is a rare case of a British promoter building a fighter, rather than an undefeated record :yep

It will also help to box in alien conditions, as opposed to having nearly all your mates and their mates near ringside cheering you on.

The opponent was a joke...I'll stop everything with my face clubber who did not try and win at all. The performance was not great either.

Groves would have been better off in the gym...or if he wants to go stateside he should just go to a yank gym...sure they have some decent ones somewhere...

If he wants good competative learning fights then fight the best he can over here...or bring over someone with a pulse from stateside.

At least he's flooring his opponents. He's no puncher either IMO. Groves appears to have a bigger dig than him, and has had a slightly better level of oppo', but World class puncher? Could be World class? Not IMO. A decent enough whack? Probably.

Brooks opponents (the ones he has stopped) have all been renowned for shocking punch resistance.

Groves has faced better opponents than Gavin.

    Hes a light Heavy.

He needs to fight UK guys to get in line for a shot at the British/DeGale.

If he beats Paul David, he can get the losers from the 2 eliminators and try and do a better job on them.

I would be gutted if he swerved the British route.
Division is excellent, domestically and there is quite
a bit of needle between a lot of them.

Groves is a very skilled, cerebral box-puncher, he aint no banger but has enough power and timing to land big enough shots to put people over. Can see him still stopping people when he steps up in class but more by grinding people down than many 1 punch highlight reel ko's. As for Gavin he himself has admitted he's no banger

Decent European opposition to build up ranking and get in line for Euro title next year. Boys class
