Great win by Alex but the stoppage was bull**** in all honesty:patsch
Alex was definatley getting on top but Beck had already shown the ability to soak up the big shots and deserved the chance to continue IMO, but take nothing away from Leapai he seams to be improving everytime he steps up which is great!
Wasn't a bad night of boxing with Josh King looking good in his win over Langham and it was also good to see Rey Olarte get a W you could see how wrapped he was after the fight and he always has a dig so i was glad to see him get up.

    Was a tad prem IMO.

Alex would've finished him, but Beck deserved a little longer.

Leapai was dominating the fight winning most of the rounds on my card but it was an absoute bull**** stoppage by the ref.
Beck actually landed on Leapai with a combination mere seconds before it was stopped.

If i were advising any future overseas opponent of Leapai i would DEMAND a non-Australian ref be in charge.
People say other countries have poor officiating....ours are up there with the worst!!!!

Sorry but the bull**** stoppage overshadows Leapai's solid showing.

Also was a great win by Josh King earlier tonight, & huge props to Rey Anton Olarte beating another solid Aussie WAYYYY above his natural weightclass.

    Bull**** stoppage.

Alex would've won anyway, but still.

Why didn't Beck use his reach? And is Leapai left or right handed? he seems to forget sometimes and ends up throwing some backhand slaps.

Anyway, glad he won, but wish oz boxing didn't come across like this

watched the fight this morning, stoppage was early - but dont think it wouldve altered the result in the fight, he done well alex jeese he dont mind taking some leather along the way, prob needs 2-3 more fights at this level to be honest before he takes on something higher if hes going to be a chance!

Agreed about the stoppage and officiating.

But I didn't have Alex dominating, maybe just edging it.
I thought ALex missed a lot, and Owen didn't seem to rattled by what Alex had, except close to the stoppage.
I think there was only 10sec or so left in the round, so Owen would have re-gassed.
It's highly probable he would then have been beaten by a proper stoppage in the 5th, but I guess we'll never know because of the bull**** stoppage.

    I thought Owen boxed better.

That's the way I saw it too Sox.

    Interesting war. Nothing stylish.

Beck's a hardened pro, even thoough he's seen better days, or he would've gone down earlier.

Leapai can whack. But he is still wearing too many himself to take too big a jump just yet. Full credit to him and his team for where he's at at this point though, and the future looks promising.
