Also, for a big dude Holmes had great infighting ability. Wlad cannot fight on the inside. Wlad loses this fight at any distance imo.

Holmes looked beatable in a couple of his fights: Norton, Snipes, Witherspoon, Cooney - so prime Wlad definitely has a shot.

Wlad loses. He's very, very good at this point in his career, but he's still a pretty basic fighter. I think he would do surprisingly well against other mostly basic fighters from history like Frazier, Marciano, Foreman, Liston, etc.

But fighters with a wide range of skills like Holmes and Ali would figure Wlad out pretty quickly and beat him up over 12 rounds. They might not knock hime out, but I think that give him a good beating.

Wlad would have a shot because he's a much bigger puncher, I agree. But if he fought the way he's been fighting of late, I think he'd definitely drop a decision to Holmes. Holmes was a more well-rounded fighter.

Wlad looked beatable in a couple of his fights: the ones that ended with him owned out cold on the ground

Now this is a ridiculous statement. I agree that Holmes would probably win the fight, but Wlad could definitely hurt Holmes. He is a much, much harder puncher. He might even put Holmes on the deck, but Holmes had preternatural recuperative powers and he would come back and dish out a beating. I'll go with Holmes by UD.

Holmes would win, better jab, too fast, slick ,skilled and versatile for Wlad, Although I do think Wlad have moments, Holmes wins a boring UD.

Wlad would dwarf Holmes with around 3 or 4 inches of height and out weighed him by 20 to 30 pounds

Wlad uses these advantages to the fullest making himself unhittable

he has improved his foot work and will be able to keep holmes on the end of his jab

Holmes had a hall of fame jab but Wlad's is very powerful and he throws it more than most heavys

Plus Wlad has one punch KO power Holmes did not as Wlad can be dangerous in any round even with seconds left like Chambers

I feel Holmes would have to fight a nearly perfect fight to do it

but hey he is one the best ever at heavyweight so he can do it

Holmes UD, no question in my mind- holmes could be hurt by wladimir but holmes would outwork him and beat him to the punch with the better jab. maybe even late tko if he hurts him with a right hand.

Wlad. The better athlete and more importantly posesses the superior firepower.Holmes could not out jab Wlad because Wlads jab is a power punch on its own.
