yeah I guess I cannot argue that. He beat them all fair and square. Which is why I think he is the best ATG of them all. There were so many greats in one era at the time. Throw in there the names of Cuevas and Benitez and what a division the welts and jr middleweights of the late 70s and early 1980s were.

By the way, on the video at 1:43 Hagler lands a punch on Ray. I forget the round. But look at that punch. Had Hagler reached a little more and landed that punch further back on Ray's head he might have scored a one punch knockout. Marvin in a way was more rusty than Ray. I do remember Ray saying he did practive fights with Quincy Taylor (the young middleweight) and was hurt, so that told him he had to box and stay away from Marvin. Good decision. By the way, the music picked for the video was a great choice. Couldn't have picked a better song.

you guys think anything regarding the fab 4 is so great but in 20 years we will all be talking about Mayweather and Oscar and no one will remember the fab 4 anymore since that will be 50 years ago!!!!!

If JMM and Morales fight then i think they are the next fab 4. I know its late in their careers but i cant think of a group more deserving than JMM, Pac, MOrales and Barrera.
All have had great action fights worthy of FOTY candidates except for the Pac-MAB II fight.

And the reason people make such a big deal about these 4 is because they fought each other and all are ATG worthy. Thats hard to come accross nowadays.

it is a joke and the way people talk the hall of fame should just induct all 4 of them into the hall at the same time that is how ridiculous this fab 4 stuff as become! The fab 4 is the beatles not Hearns Hagler Duran and Leonard

RickyRetardo, why are you hating on these guys? ****, I like the guys from today too, but you can't say that in 50 years no one will talk about the Fab4. That's just ridiculous. If anything, their legacy will be even more well regarded. These days some of the best match ups don't even happen. This WILL hurt their legacy.

dude who is hating? Money beats Shane up from ring post to ring post and gets no credit and I agree hagler and Hearns was exciting but two fighters swinging for the fences is not exactly considered intelligent. They both took a chance and anyone could have won that fight there was no skill just swinging and chin testing. Since when is that greatness? why not make gold statues of all four and put the statues at the entrance of the hall of fame in upstate new york? would that be anymore ridiculous? and all the greats who came after them like hopkins and oscar and floyd can just walk by and admire these greats who cannot be touched!

Ricky Ricardo has to realize that it is about name recognition and having a boxing aura which makes eras. Floyd would never be in a fab 4. He was not warrior enough and he didn't have that mentality of fighting them all.

I disagree with you. The statues don't have to be made out of gold. I think a stainless steel kind of material would be best to handle the New York winters.

It is about aura and who they fought and mindset. Floyd fights to win decisions, those guys fought for legacy and with heart.
