Angulo actually made some decent points in the article. I've seen people defend fighters for much worse than this.

id say angulo is doing the right thing, I dont see from a style stand point how he beats Martinez. He is no Pwill.

Price yourself out and try to save face. IMO this is a very bad match up for him.

The 750,000 is twice as much is he ever made for in a fight, maybe more than all his fights combine. I rather see PWill vs Sergio myself.

Bull****. If you are not ready to meet the challenge(and we all know that's the case here) then you're only doing it for the money. And of course Shaw is pissed, he will not be getting a cut of the $750k.

If you're not ready to face the champion in Martinez then you're not ready for anything. I think Martinez would have beat Angulo but not an easy one by any means. Angulo has a chance to become a star if he beats Martinez but yet he turn it down. Now Angulo will fight mostly on the undercard yet again.

Angulo shouldnt fight a guy like Martinez a slick boxer at the weight above he should fight a guy like newly crowned bundrage or Dzinziruk for a 154 lb belt hell even Cotto moving up would be foolish when he can win a belt at his own weight

Martinez vs Angulo would be a catchweight at either 155 or 156 so it's like a pound up or 2 pounds up from 154.

Im saying from the perspective of 160 plus if Angulo wins then would he keep it and stay at 160 hes better off beating an easy title holder like Bundrage so he has a belt and a barganing chip in negotions and make a shitload of money in a unification like dzinziruk

Perro should take this fight. If he wins he'll be the next Mexican star. If he losses well no one expected him to win anyway. It's a no brainer.

If he wins, he'll could fight Williams or Pavlik next in which is far better then facing K9. And how could he make a **** load of money if he beats k9 and face Dzin? Angulo would have got the biggest pay day in his career in which is more then facing K9 and Dzin. And since Cotto is going to fight Chavez Jr, facing Martinez is a good business move.
