I've never ran from anyone here *****. I've owned you on several threads fool. You're nothing but a bitter lonely ***** who has something bad to say about everything. The very fact you're defending this fool in this thread tells everyone everything we need to know about you.:hi:

I don't agree it was a black cloud over Duran his whole career at all. The most important part of his career was before that even happened, and I don't remember Duran or the media fixating on it when he was beating the likes of Moore, Cuevas, Barkley etc. The 'No Mas' thing is way overblown to be honest, Duran just lost his composure, realized he wasn't physically able to match Leonard's speed and movement, and bailed out. He wasn't getting beaten up, he wasn't miles behind in the fight, he simply lost his cool, his temperament let him down and frustration took over, I don't view it as a big disgrace at all. Other great fighters have had their moments of weakness, and they aren't cast up as much as Duran's is. The hallowed warrior, Erik Morales, shook his head, winked at his corner, and chose to stay down for the full ten rather than get up and continue to be beaten up by Manny Pacquiao. This surrender does not eternally damage Morales's image/reputation (nor should it), and I don't believe Duran's does either. Guys like Duran and Morales did more than enough brave and brilliant work throughout their careers to offset one dark night. To be honest, I believe anyone who chooses the top option in this poll is not a real boxing fan. Roberto Duran was one of the most amazing and dominant lightweights ever, who had one of the greatest careers ever, who contributed so much to the sport, and who is in my opinion a top 10 ATG. No one fight could even come close to denting such a long and legendary career.

He's not defending me. He is defending his viewpoint. Which is similar to mine. Didn't you die of a cocaine overdose in a hotel room? LOL! For sugar ray leonard himself to state that he fought an out of shape undertrained Duran on purpose, and for someone not to recognize that would have an effect in a 12 round championship boxing match, is idiocy at it's finest. Fortunately there a many actual boxing champions who disagree with most of you fatass couch potatoes, drooling behind your keyboards. It's not just boxing fans who idolize Duran. It is Boxing champions.

The man quit it doesn't matter what SRL says. Duran is a pro and if he couldn't get into shape he shouldn't have taken the fight period. :dealQuit making excuses for him he knew what he was getting himself into. Duran was always a party animal, staying in shape and being focused is an important factor in boxing. Many guys have lost fights while not in shape. Should we now all of a sudden discount everyone's loses who don't come into to camp in shape?

No, we should'nt. And part of what you say is true. But you cannot make a blanket generalization when we have specifics in regards to this fight. He also asked to delay the fight, and the promoter wasn't having it. What is most damaging, is that leonard has admitted to wanting to fight an opponent when he knew he would not be at his best. Where is the accountability there? I notice you guys always overlook that point. And how in the hell can you state that it doesn't matter what srl says??!! Are you serious? What the hell are we talking about here? A different fight? No, we are talking about srl duran 2. It is beyond feasability to discount Srl's statements.

It doesn't matter because a lot of time people say things they don't mean just to be nice and be PC. Even if he did mean it. Who's fault is it that SRL knew Duran wasn't in shape and he could take advantage of it? You can only fault Duran for allowing himself to blow up between fights and not come in at top shape. It was common knowledge anyway, everyone in boxing knew Duran hated training. Just like everyone knew James Toney hated training as well. It's not some revelation.:patsch

We should hold Leonard responsible. It was his fault guys. And look at how overweight and horrible Duran looked.

Duran is 100% accountable for everything...but I don't hold his no mas against him that much. I rate fighters on who they beat primarily and he beat some monsters.

Here you go playing the race card just like all the other racist posters here like you who have a problem with black posters who speak their minds. **** you. You pick and chose who you like to stick up for *****. I've never seen you defensd any black fighter for anything mother****er you have some nerve. You excuse cheats like Margo and say nothing about his facre fight with Pac. But try and bash guys like PBF every chance you get and now you;re at it again. Now you're defending a poster who's trying to blame a black guy for making Duran quit and fighting him only becasue he knew he wasn't in shape. It's ****ing ridiculous argument but you co-sign like it's a credible argument.

 Irony of YOU bitching abour races. And you say you;ve never seen me defend a black fighter? It's questions like this that preove you are a ****in ******. Ever heard of Shane Mosley dip****? And before fanatics like you came and fucxkin it up for others, I was defending Floyd before you discovered him and jumped on his bandwagon.

WHEN did I excuse Margarito for his wraps? WHEN? All you do is talk out of your ass, not even telling the truth.

And for the record, and I know it went over your dumb **** head, I didn't see Cenovio as blaming SRL. He was explainng the situatiuon which SRL HIMSELF said. How ****in dumb are you? Holy ****!! :patsch
