True, but that was Margarito when he may have been fighting with Plaster and before he was Demolished by a Past Prime Shane Mosley.

    Margarito is old news.

At JrMW, and we shouldn't have b.s. catchweights specifically for title fights, why not fight Paul Williams and or who I favor, Sergio Martinez?

Sergio deserves a big fight. He also will honor a rematch request.

    Is he really?

Sergio Martinez and Paul Williams are the best at jrMW. Not Margarito.

Unless I'm wrong and things have changed where this fight is now at WW :?

I don't blame him for the fight with Floyd falling through. I think that is more on Floyd.

yes a new division, yet instead of fighting a champion of that division, or a top 10 opponent of that division, he choosed to fight an unlicensed boxer who hasnt beaten a world ranked opponent in 2 years. it is cherry picking and him and floyd are taking the **** out of boxing.

Margarito's career extends further back then 2 years. Can't remove what he's done just because he lost one fight...he's not a BUM all of a sudden.

Pac moving UP another weight class is what makes this better.

Because logic takes over, not because Pacquiao is scared of the champions in the division. Margarito is obviously an easier fighter to sign up for being in Arum's stable. That said, you think a fight with Bundrage, Cotto or Dzinziruk would be bigger than this?

So? Who said every champ needs to fight the REAL champ upon entering a new weight class? Many fighters have done it to test the waters, many more will do it in the future. Pac isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before. Especially taking into consideration his size. Paul WIlliams fought Verno Phillips at 154 rather then Martinez. Hell, when he went to 160, he fought a tomato can in Andy Kolle.

It happens, and yet some make TOO big a deal out of it.

    no he wouldn't.

What's he with out his plaster?

What's he now that he was demolished by a past prime Shane Mosley?

    What's left of Margarito now?

for one when williams fought phillips, he was a champion. when cotto fought foreman, he was a champion. when floyd fought oscar, he was a champion. people have fought for vacant belts in the past, so why not fight against a deserving opponent? one who is ranked in the top 10.

ive never said pac has to fight the REAL champ, but there are 3 current belt holders at 154. there are 10 ranked contenders, any of these would be better.

i do believe a fight with cotto or dzindzuruk would be bigger. of course i do.

im not discounting margo's career, he had good wins over cintron and cotto. but he has done fuk all for 2 years. this isnt a "testing the waters fight" it is a title fight.

you know what, you are boxing fans just like me and are entitled to your opinion. i was asked a question as to do i think pac is cherry picking. the answer IMO is yes. the reasons why, are thos i have given.

Martinez is a jrMW who moved up to MW for more opportunity.

Martinez still can fight at jrMW, he said so himself. He is still the top guy in that division.

Is Pac vs. Margarito for a Title {vacant} at jrMW?

What has a Post-KO'd Margarito done at jrMW?
Why is he deserving of a title shot and fight with Pac?

That's all I'm asking. Because if it is, this fight is complete B.S.

Fight the best in each division.

I wish there was one belt and not 50.
