Arreola before his next fight: "It was my fault for not training hard enough, but this time is going to be different. I've got a nutritionist and I'm being more serious about training."

Arreola before the fight after his next fight: "I know I said that I'd be ready for my next fight for my last fight, but ****, I love tacos. I just love mother****ing tacos, alright?"

Arreola before the fight after the next two fights: "I wasn't taking everything seriously before but I am now, because this is my life in there, you know? Wait till you see me in this fight, I'm going to be lean and ready to fight this time. Honest, yo."

Well if he said that, you've got to love the honesty if nothing else.

That's not far from stuff he's actually said already. There's a thread on here, where one of our fine Polish posters translated an interview Chris did for the Polish boxing media for the Adamek fight. They said something along the lines of "You said you'll be in much better shape, weighing less for the Adamek fight. Should we believe you?" and he said something along the lines of ''No way. You have to tell these guys at the press conference stuff like that but I love my ice cream and Coronas." or whatever. It was pretty funny, but I think he's serious. This is who he is. He'll keep trying to trick the media and then showing up fat and happy. ...But then he'll be fat and sad after the fights where he's stepped up in competition. Ahhhh, Chris.

pretty sad day in boxing, when the "opponent" is in better shape than the other guy.

But he always did not train seriously for Vitali to become Wordlchampion.

Arreola is a disgrace to boxing and the fans. Shameful.

Its his trainer Henry Ramirez whos the main problem here. He's his eating-buddy and has less than 0 authority so he cant force the whale to get in proper shape.

Arreola needs new management that has the spine to take control, remove him from his comfort zone, and force him to train. They should be flying his ass to the Alps where there aren't any tacos. Give this guy no choice but to work hard. If I were his trainer I would tell him that I was going to quit if he wouldn't go along with that plan. If he sucked then maybe I wouldn't care, but it pisses me off to see someone who has some talent not develop it.

Nothing strange there though, when I remember Arreola in an interview saying that he gets along with Ramierz because Ramirez doesnt look into his plate. And that all the other guys, who tried to force a diet on him, are gone. No wonder.

He is convinced his weight doesnt make a difference it seems.
