In an interview a few months back, heavyweight champion David Haye called Cris Arreola a disgrace. His trainer said that he routinely missed gym sessions and that he never kept to the diet regimen that had been prepared for him. Arreola has a shot to make world history. Even if he beats the weakest champion in the division, he would become the first Mexican American heavyweight champ ever.

I personally think he's an entertaining fighter, and a decent contender with loads of explosive power, and I'm not ready to write him off completely yet (excepting a fight with either Klitschko). What do you guys think?

David Haye calling another fighter a disgrace...hmmm

Yes, Arreola is a fat, lazy slob. At least he had the balls to get into the ring with a Klitschko. David Haye probably trains hard, but what is it good for if he never fights the best?

I think Chris just is who he is. Many fighters have been addicted to alcohol, coke, etc. Chris has an addiction you wear around your waist for all to see though. You cannot keep a taco addiction a secret.

At least Arreola has no problems getting in the ring with seemingly dangerous opponents, such as Vitali or Adamek.

If people still want to pay to see his fat ass and he can make a living off that then there is nothing wrong on his part.

Disgrace is too strong a word. He's a disappointment, not a disgrace.

Chris Arreola is entertaining, watching him fight is the same as cheering on your fat mate who likes to scrap a bit after a few brews down the pub. Also he's funny as **** and fearless. A rariety - he'll give it his all in the ring but outside not so much, cant have it all I guess. I like Chris, get that title boy!

In the sense that a top athlete shouldn't be in such poor shape. However, as a man he's definitely not a disgrace.

When you look at him he is obviously a disgrace, when you listen to him, he is a very nice guy. So as Lampley said the proper word would be a 'disapointment'.

Despite being a fatass, he box very well. I think that he will never become a HW title holder, because he is not able to step up. Once he fights a top fighter, he loses badly, and I dont think that he will have a chance to box for a HW title with Brian Minto, Travis Walker or JAmael McCline...

In fairness to him he come to fight, and he's taken on big fights, boxing fans can't crib about him in that regard.
