Looks like the winner of John Simpson- Stephen Smith for the C'wealth title will face Lindsay. Billy Nelson has been adamant for some time that Simpson would beat Lindsay. Would be a big night in Kings Hall if it was to happen. But what ever happened to Lindsay's push for a Euro title against that guy from Ukraine? Or push for a world title eliminator? A loss to Simpson (or Smith) would set him way back. Though he should be good enough to get past them

 

There was an interview with Lindsay in todays Boxing News. There were three different fights that all fell through on Lindsay. Lindsay is waiting on the the Ukranian to vacate the Euro title as he the guy has defended it four times now and Lindsay doesnt want to go to Ukraine to fight him for it. A Euro Title fight in Belfast much better.

I hope that Lindsay faces the winner of Simpson-Smith after his tune up.

 

Euro title shot at home would be great. Dont remember that guy travelling outside of Ukraine often- if ever. A tear-up with Simpson would be great. The Jocks were very confident Appleby would make short work of Lindsay but a packed Ulster Hall gave their boy a shock. The Simpson fight might not happen now then if Lindsay is just keeping busy next month and has a Euro title fight on the back burner

It was in the star today that sweeney is goin to austria for training camp with manny steward and the klithckos for his eu title fight . he also said that steward and mannion will be in his corner for the fight . said the recent exploits of casey and rogie inspired him to take the fight . lets hope he can pull out the win he has the talent imo
