Super 6 winner vs Dawson?

Ward or Dirrell vs. Dawson would be pretty sweet.

 

Am I the only one who don't care for a 168lbs Dawson?
(Or him facing them while they are still relevant in their own class)

Talking about the S6 winner fighting an HBO fighter is a complete waste of time. Showtime has options on the S6 winner.

 

No different than S6 winner vs Bute.

The fights will eventually happen(if there is demand).

 

Showtime is not going to let go of a fighter they spent so much time and money building. No HBO connected fighter is foolish enough to **** the network off. The S6 winner never fights Bute, Dawson, or any other HBO fighter.

Dawson cannot make 168, and has a hard time making 175. He will surely fight at CW within a couple of years.

I don't think he is at all relevant for the Super Six fighters. Most (Kessler has said he can, AA can, Taylor can, Ward can, and Dirrell and Froch perhaps could) SS fighters can get to 160 if necessary..) while Dawson is really a CW dropping to LHW.

 

No way Kessler, Dirrell and Froch can go down to 160! If Kessler ever said that, its many years ago.

Good thread with a couple of minor exceptions. Dawson can't make 168, so one of them (Dirrell should be looking to) would have to move up to 175, assuming Dawson can still make that. Also, are you talking about the heavyweight Adamek? Easy there.

 

What's this actually based on?

It can't be based on anything Dawson has said because he's said lots of times that he could make 168, and there doesn't seem any basis for it in his fight weigh-ins...
