I bet your loser ass didnt had a problem when frauds first fight at welter was against shot to pieces Sharmba Mitchell or when he went through two elimination bouts at jr welter against corley and brusseles to get a shot at Gatti of all people, but for Pac you want him to fight the middleweight champ in his first fight at 154,GTFO with that double standards ****.
atsch Was he fighting for a title and was it at a catchweight? The Title is Key in all of this. Now if I'm wrong and it isn't for a Title, no problem although Margarito is still b.s. And yes, I did have a problem with it. I called both the Mitchell and Judah fights a complete waste of time. But at least, unlike Pac, Floyd has room to breathe on this because it wasn't fighting for a Title as far as the Mitchell fight and the others to get rank in the lower weight divisions. And he wasn't fighting a disgraced fighter. Tszyu was Champ at 140 and he was fighting on SHOWTIME, not HBO. Hard to make unless you can get a PPV fight. You do know that, right? Floyd needed Gatti to make him "Money Mayweather" / PPV worthy which would enable HBO/Showtime to come together for a PPV fight. Sergio was JrMW Champ and may still be. I'm not sure how that works at this point. Was he stripped or not and if so where do people place him. He is a jrMW that fought for the MW title because he wants to fight the best and wants to get paid. He took the risk. If he fought Sergio it would be at JrMW. Sergio would absolutely fight Pac at jrMW. He said he would do it for Floyd as well. However, I'm not sure with the b.s. catchweight thing. I think it may have to be a legit fight and make sure it is an actual 154 limit fight instead of trying to drain his ass.
A rematch with Cotto would be insulted after the one-sided result of the first fight. You honestly think a fight with Dzindzuruk would be bigger?, if fight a with Clottey(who is easily more popular) didn't do good enough PPV numbers you think this one will do better than a fight with Margarito?. You can't be serious.
Your asking a man to step up and fight a guy who just won a world title at Middleweight? I mean lets be real for a second, Floyd could have fought those guys as well. Why should Manny jump up and fight Middleweights? that makes no sense, and even if this fight was at 154 according to the WBC that is the super welter weight title... fact! Lets not also forget Margarito did knock out Martinez... fact!
No, I'm asking a Man to step up and fight the best in each division and Sergio Martinez is arguably the best at 154/JrMW...as well as MW/160 but that was because he was looking for big fights. He'll fight in either division. Floyd won't because he is on vacation, we all know this He will be fighting a JrMW, not a MW. Except for the fight with Williams which may have been at MW, and his fight against Pavlik which was obviously at MW, where was he fighting before? Margarito knocked out Martinez like 10 years ago...and that was before Margarito was Brutally KTFO by a past prime Shane Mosley. And who knows, that little cheat Margarito may have been wearing plaster against Martinez as well. And remember, with Martinez, who took up boxing around 20, was arguably still learning and getting better. He was going to mature later because of it. Again, this fight with Margarito is for a title, yes, no? Is Margarito established at jrMW?...and I'm talking legit here, not corruption to pay for ranks. By the way, it's called JrMW and/or Super-WW. It's the same division no matter what you call it. http://www.ringtv.com/ratings/jr_middleweight/ And, the WBC also lists it at 154 http://wbcboxing.com/indexEng.php WBC is just as corrupt as the other belts. Paul Williams beat Margarito as well as Sergio. Williams fights at 154-160 and actually said he would come down even lower for Pac. Williams is more established than Margarito. Pac can fight him then. Sergio deserves the pay-day/fight however.
Ok, so pbf is a scared coward. Why does that justify pac being a scared coward. I thought *******s as yourself held pac in higher regard than the evil pbf.
HELL NO..Pac opponents keeps getting bigger. I mean look at his previous opponents and add margarito in there. Ricky Hatton- Natural Jr Welterweight Miguel Cotto- Now fighting at jr middleweight Joshua Clottey- Huge welterweight Antonio Margarito- Huge welterweight and is now fighting at 154 all pac's opponents has been bigger than him. If pac is cherry picking then he'll be calling out a lightweight NA MEAN http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=242330
You know the asnwer to this already. They aren't big enough names to make the fight financially viable for Arum/Pac. Better is subjective. Lets look at three of the top guys at 154. Williams - Just squeaked by Margarito. Martinez - Lost to Margarito. Cotto - Lost to Margarito. So WHYis Margarito such a terrible opponent? No way would a reamtach with Cotto do as well considering how the firat one went. And Dzinduruk would NOT be a bigger fight. I have nbo clue how you came to taht conclusion. YEah...Pac is cherry picking by fighting a guy MUCH bigger who has a win over two JrMW champs (Cotto and Martinez) and a close with with one guy who is seen as a top JrMW as well (Wiliams). Excellent logic.
Again, it's WHEN/HOW he is picking them that counts. Post-KO'd Hatton. Post-Plastered Cotto and at a catchweight. Post-KO'd Margarito without his wraps. This Margarito is not the same Margarito that Cotto fought nor was Cotto the same as the one Mosley fought. Nor is Martinez the same now that he was before when Mr. Cheat fought him about 10 years ago. And Williams won that fight although close and Mr. Cheat is under a cloud of suspicion for all his previous fights. The point is also that this is said to be for a Title at JrMW, which is now at a catch-weight, which is complete b.s. on the part of Pac if true. How is Margarito even rated high as a JrMW and why does he deserve to fight for a title there? And why isn't Pac, if he is to fight the best in each division, avoiding better, more honorable, more entitled fighters at jrMW, like Williams, like Sergio Martinez? That's the big complaint on my part. It's said to be for a title and it is against Margarito.
Rankings are meaningless these days. That's the said truth to today's "Boxing i more business then sport" mantra. Does Pac need to fight the very best in each division in his first fight in a new division? Nope. No one else does.
