As my favorite fighters are still listed as Pavlik and Dawson, their fights versus Adamek and Taylor were their crowning achievements. I certainly hope Dawson will be back in form with Pascal next week. Pavlik...well, Bika's suddenly available.

Back to the thread. A great moment of a fighter I like was when Danny Williams beat Mike Tyson against the odds

 

Gonzarelli picked a few of mine - Holyfield against Tyson in their first fight and Margarito against Cotto, although I'm a fan of Cotto.

Add:
* Williams-Martinez, fans of both and both fought great against each other that night
* Sanders over Wlad, making Sanders a favorite for a while
* Calzaghe against Mitchell, coming off the canvas to end it
* Frazier over Ali
* Ali over Foreman
* Foreman over Moorer
* Mosley over Margarito (I know, already mentioned)
* Dawson over Glen Johnson in their 2nd fight (some nice comeuppance for Chad after their first close fight)
* Pavlik over KO Taylor (whom I like) after coming off the canvas in the 2nd
* Toney over Ruiz (until you know what)

 

Yo you right on the money! This is my favorite too.

I was crushed when Titio lost, but I haven't seen a performance that nice yet. B.Hop looked untouchable after that night.

i must admit i was going for Lacy. Calzaghe put a whipping on his ass. Lacy kept on going though...I'll always give him that.

 

Sorry, I shouldn't talk. Vargas had roids for 1 fight. I just hate Margo. Wraps like that can kill or seriously injure people.

 

When Tommy beat Virgil Hill in 1991. It capped off a great career I thought. Beating Cuevas to win the welt title, Benitez jr middleweight, Duran defense, 5 titles in 5 divisions, superfights and then after some losses and the Leonard draw to beat a champ who was 5 years younger and undefeated and had 10 title defenses was unheard of. To this day Tommy does not get the credit he deserves.
