i say dirrell vs AA, and kessler vs froch is a close second.

    context is important.

when ward fought kessler, i didnt think kessler had much left in him, and that fight did nothing to suggest otherwise, so i dont rate it as amazing.

dirrell performed amazing vs abraham, especially coming off a terrible performance vs froch, it was a boxing clinic, including a knockdown! brilliant performance.

kessler, as i said i didnt think he had much left, and i expected froch to kayo him, but he proved what a warrior he was and fought a brilliant fight.

now by giving kessler credit i understand in hindsight that makes wards victory look good, but i aint giving him the vote because at the time the context of the fight wasnt as good, and i aint voting off hindsight.

Easily!! I scored it for Froch it was close no way in hell he won easily. Easily is 9-3 or 10-2 no way in hell could you say Kessler won 9 rounds or better.

    Ward/Kessler.

Few people gave him a chance. Kessler was the clear favorite to win the tournament, let alone the fight itself. People thought Ward was too green. Boy were we wrong. He didn't just beat Kessler, he showed that Kessler isn't even on Ward's level, and Kessler's level was supposedly the best.

Second is Dirrell/Abraham. Some saw it coming but it was a beautiful display of hit and not be hit. Throwing his shots and getting out and doing it over again. AA was frustrated.

But it happens especially in infighting because both fighter's heads are close together. I suppose you're going to start bashing Armstrong & Frazier.

If everybody here was just a boxing fan and not a nationalist or fangirl this poll would be a shutout in favor of Ward over Kessler.

It was a great fight but he still fought to a hard-fought decision that can be debated about. At least with Dirrell/AA, Ward/Green, AA/Taylor, and Ward/Kessler there can't possibly be debates on who won those.

With Dirrell/AA a close second perhaps. Maybe even that as #1 personally I didn't think Dirrell was going to school AA that was amazing. Ward/Kessler was amazing too. I thought Dirrell/AA was the best but I can't argue on people thinking that Ward/Kessler was the best performance.
