thanks. i saw your screen name and thought of the posters in floyd's gym. here is a pic i took that has them in it. the girl is named melissa littlejohn. she is jeff's conditioning coach. she makes her pro debut on september 4th. the girl is a serious badass. it is hard to tell from this pic, but she is really buff

Can I ask do Jeff and Roger talk I have never seen Jeff talk to either Roger or Floyd Sr in public?

 

that is a good question. honestly i dont know the answer. i didnt see them talk today, but jeff was working a corner the entire time roger was there up until he left. he has never told me they do not speak. i can find out and let you know. it is funny because i have talked to jeff for hours and hours, but we have never really talked too much about his family other than the floyd/manny thing or his relationship with floyd. other than that we have talked about celestino, jeff's career, boxing history, the boxing business, etc. i try not to touch too much on personal stuff. but the more i know him, the more i feel comfortable.

thanks a lot. i have stayed out of the manny/floyd stuff but i realize it is pretty intense in here with that. believe it or not, i am pretty neutral on both of them. but i know if you post on one or the other, people are gonna knock you if you post on the guy they are against.

here is a funny tidbit for you though. i asked jeff last week if caballero ever fought floyd would he corner celestino in that fight. his answer was, "hell yea, floyd has never paid me a dime."

just that if you write anything about one or the other, the fans of the other fighter go nuts. ie, you say manny would beat floyd, manny is the best, i used the porta potty after manny at the state fair, there are 500 floyd fans who will trash you for it. same goes with manny fans.

i get it to a much smaller degree when i post about celestino. it is to be expected i guess. like i said, i am pretty neutral on floyd, as hard as that may seem to believe. i was just pointing out what i saw in the gym today and not what i perceive or want to see. i believe that floyd is arrogant and cocky, just like most people say (even jeff). but what i SAW today was a guy that was friendly, happy, and relaxed. it might not always be like that, but it was today

 

Thanks for the reply, they sure do seem to have an odd relationship as a family no more than anyone else really but theirs is on public view. Yea I'd like to know whether they talk if you ever get the opportunity to ask.

Would be great if sometime in the future you could ask PBF some questions too then maybe we could settle some of the reoccuring arguements ESB has lol....Maybe you could do a thread and ask people what they want to know and then ask floyd. I don't think some of the questions asked by posters would be pretty though!

Also one thing I really want to know is if Floyd works as hard as people say? Getting that answer from Jeff would really be eye opening as he is family and a professional so it might be telling!

i did a thread asking for questions for jeff and caballero for interviews. i was able to pick through the sarcastic ones and get some good questions. if i ever get to interview pbf i will likely do the same. not sure if it will be soon though. jeff is kind of my go to guy on stuff, but like you said, the family is interesting, so i dont know if i would want to ask him to arrange it. so it might be something i would do on my own. we'll see how that goes.

jeff is definitely honest. he certainly has issues with some of the things pbf does out of the ring, but he has never questioned his boxing skill or training. he always is very comlimentary of that. i havent heard him address the actual work ethic though, so i can check into that
