There's no way it was a shutout. It was more like 7 rounds to 3.

I don't understand the sustained outcry over Ward's tactics. Although not particularly a fan, his tactics havent exactly been anything that hasnt been seen before.

Questionable tactics have been, and will continue to be used regardless of who's homefield fights are fought in. We've seen guys headbutting, wrestling, hit and hold continuously, body slams, hitting with the wrong part of the gloves, wear the guards too high, etc....... It happens.

Ward takes the blame for headbutting Kessler, but in that fight, the only difference between that and many other fights was that Kessler never got out of the way. Never protected himself. Had no answers, and looked overmatched and unprepared by a relatively green fighter's tactics. Ward was doing what many others have done, which is follow up a long ranged attack by closing the distance, tying up, and smothering his opponent.

As for the Green fight, there is a big, big difference between headbutting, and using your head to establish position and manipulate your opponent.

Personally, I can take or leave Ward and his fights. The stop and go action can be tedious at times, and his ideals are constantly being shoved in your face. But the guy has talent, great ring IQ and marvelous adaptablity.

While the Ward/Kessler fight was a very impressive performance, I thought that Ward's performance against Green was even more impressive. Ward tactically and emphatically neutralized Green from the begining of round 1 to the end of round 12, while at least the fight with Kessler was fairly competitive. So I would say the best single performance would be that fight due to sheer dominance, depending on how you rate Green.

The best performance from two fighters in a single fight in the Super 6, would easily be Kessler/Froch. It was a grueling back and forth battle and a FOTY candidate.

Well the best performance by one boxer was of course Dirrell but the best performance as a whole had to have been Kessler/Froch.

Nothing wrong with being religious I just hate it when those people say we need to be "saved" and think they're better than us just because they "have Jesus in their lives". That's, annoying lol.

though im a BIG Ward fan, i think the most publicly intriguing fight was the Dirrell/AA fight result.
I did have Direll for an upset, simply because of style mismatching. And he did exactly what to do to break down a 1-dimensional AA.

*AA having stamina problems cuz of his muscularity, so he's a "slow roller" (public front - Dont want to be a front runner)

*Dirrell stole the front 5 rounds by boxing, all the while going to the body so AA will be drained by the time he comes in in midrounds.

*Outbox AA in back 6 and win a couple rounds - win by outpointing/outworking AA.

*AA got frustrated and knew he was gonna lose the fight - bailed himself out from a clean loss and disqualified himself...

personally, i think Dirrell finally "exposed" AA for what he is. Ward simply outclassed a game Kessler and showed Green is just a bigmouth chump who doesnt know how to take a loss

I'm beginning to think Kessler gets the KO over Green..Green is ****. I wish Taylor would've stayed in it. He would've given Ward a much better fight and would surely give Kessler more of a challenge.

Green is manure but you can't lie Ward whopped him in a great performance of infighting. I would've preferred JT too. Jermain seems like such a nice guy and will fight anyone so it's very hard to root against him. Too bad he gets respect on here after being KTFO.

Dirrells schooling AA (without the end) or Kesslers comeback war against Froch! Hard to decide.. Kessler vs Froch was more entertaining and exciting to watch. But i give the vote to Dirrell, his performance against AA looked best!
