Oh right...I only seen the post you replied to...I thought you were comparing Pacquiao's power to Mosley's. :good

That shot was near enough the perfect shot...although Hatton helped that punch out a lot by just walking onto it.

****en BULL****!!! If the Pretty One was as confident in HIS SKILLS he wouldn't have asked the RED HERRING Olympic Styled Drug TESTING. Floyd Jr said he wanted to clean up the sport...yeah right how's that going by the way. APOLOGISTS and ENABLERS that's what you are, willing to accept whatever lie that passes the Jr's lips... :fire

They aren't that different in size. Floyd is just 1.5" taller with a 3" arm length advantage.

That's your THEORY... Since the Mayweather's and their fans like to expouse conspiracies and drugs behind Pacquiao's rise. Let me add my own and one that I've yet to here any Mayweather fan explain away. And I'll talk like it's a fact, just as the ASSHOLES claim that Pacquiao is on PED's

The REAL REASON that Sugar Shane Mosley quit punching and didn't LOOK anything like the fighter he was against Margarito MONEY. Out of ALL the fighters that have either FOUGHT Pacquiao and the Pretty One (Hatton, Marquez, Cotto, Clottey), Mosley was the only one with a DIRECT FINANCIAL interest in a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight. If Mosley beats or makes the Pretty One look bad all that money goes away for him.

As reasons go mine is as good as yours, if not more logical. It explains why Mosley look like he was afflicted with some kind of Cerebral Palsy after the third round. :smoke

    That's funny.

I wonder if Manny was too small when he building a good part of his legacy by draining himself down to fight guys he weighed naturally more than.

Pacman's upper body prior to the marquez 2 match was nothing like it is now. He really carried the weight up and gained a bunch of muscle mass. You can look at pics and see that. He was never thick in his upperbody before at the lower weight classes to the level of Juanma or gamboa who look like they have to drain themselves. Pac was wirery before.

hahahahaha now that gives conspiracy theories a bad name. I saw better theories about the pac vs clottey fight being fixed and they were still stupid as hell, like the one you just posted. You must not know what you are watching when you watch boxing. Alot of other posters are in the same boat as you. The ones who don't know what they are witnessing.

Oh, I myself know it was never really THAT bad to the point where he was killing himself to make weight like a Caballero.

I'm merely echoing the sentiments stated by many other people who have tried to explain why exactly he has carried his power so well.

IMO he's grown into the weight class, and fighting at a weight closer to where he should be now. Which is why I don't understand the argument when people make it out to be, that Mayweather is a mountain compared to Pacquiao. He's an inch and a half taller, with longer arms, and he trains probably harder than anyone in the sport.

But I'm also saying if Pacquiao was only slightly bigger than the opponents he faced, and it was never an issue, why should it be such a big deal if Mayweather is slightly bigger than Pacquiao when they fight?

I agree that Mayweather is bigger, but not to the extent that people want to make it out to be, and certainly not something so big that Pacquiao wouldn't be able to handle, if he was able to fight Clottey when Clottey rehydrates to a middleweight + and Cotto who is also naturally bigger than Mayweather

    @ THE TS NOT REALLY...

Floyd's footwork will be too much to deal with..Floyd's footwork is a few levels above pacquiaos..

Footwork is key in controlling the tempo of a fight...Floyd's tempo =a "chess match" ..MANNY PACQUIAO IS NOT WINNING A CHESS MATCH WITH MAYWEATHER....

N THAT PART ABOUT HOW U SAID FLOYD PANICS WHEN HE GETS HIT..LMFAO..HATE HIM OR NOT, FLOYD ALWAYS SEEMS CALM IN THE RING EVEN WHEN GETTING HIT...

EVEN WHEN HE GOT ROCKED BY SHANE HE WAS STILL PATIENT AND STILL DANGEROUS...DANGEROUS BECAUSE IT LOOKED AS IF HE HAD BEEN TRAINING ON HOW TO, "TECHNICALLY FIGHT HURT" SINCE HE WAS 5...CAUGHT THE PUNCH, SMOTHERED HIS MAN, THREW ENOUGH PUNCHES SO THE REF DIDNT HAVE TO GET INVOLVED...

MANNIES BEST CHANCE IS TO TURN IT INTO A FIGHT AND MAKE FLOYD BRAWL..TO DO THAT HE GOTTA GET THE ANGLES TO LAND THE BIG POWER PUNCHES....THING IS FLOYD'S FOOTWORK IS AWESOME AND HE IS VERY GOOD AT NOT LETTING HIS OPPONENTS TAKE ANGLES ON HIM....FLOYD NOT GONNA STAND RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM LIKE THE TS THINKS EITHER

    TECHNICAL SKILLS OVER POWER ANYDAY

The last part of my post was not to be taken seriously. I copied and pasted it from a far earlier post after the clottey fight. Really saying that people will say he is too small has no merit to it if taken seriously at this time, because so much has changed in the feelings of the fans for this fight. I should have clarified that prior to responding to post that were responding to that part of my post.

Like you I also feel that he grew up in weight. Sadly that's not a good way of putting it when there is speculated HGH use. I haven't seen anyone go up and maintain in that fashion ever. From tough fights at the lower level to beating the hell out of beast guys 3 divisions above where he reigned. I tend to think the power hasn't really changed and his power was always that good. The speed advantage becoming more substantial at the higher wieghts is what i feel is the main reason he has been whipping these guys easier until proven otherwise. He obviously got better with his left hand and his footwork is second to none. It's really stick and move like it is supposed to be. That is stick and move and stick again repeating the process over and over. That's what he does to a T and better than I have ever seen it done.

They are pretty much equal in what they do and are polar opposites of eachother. Fire and Ice in the ring.

Manny has the sickest action footwork in the biz. He has perfected it and can punch while moving. That stuff isn't in textbooks. Cotto couldn't do anything right because of pac's footwork. He said after the fight that manny was jumping and swinging at the same time. Hard to get ready for that. Still there is a way of beating him as I said in my post back a few pages where I lay out how I feel the fight will go.

Still don't get it twisted, Manny has the best feet in the biz for an offensive fighters. Nobody uses thier feet like that and it's a testiment to roach really building him up after the morales loss. Look at manny more closely. His footwork is something else.

41 different fighters was suppose to do the same thing with Mosely having the best chance of them all. We all seen what happen to them and the same will happen to Pac.
