They're most likely gunning for JMM. The only thing which can stop this from taking place, is JMM and his team deciding it's not worth the risk. Who can blame them.

It definately won't be Maidana. After being inactive for 8 months, Khan won't be thrown in with him so soon.

And Ortiz? Not yet. This is one for the future. Ortiz is on the road to recovery, and will be programmed to begin make noise in the division once again before risking him in with another one of their guys.

But it will be interesting to see how everything unfolds.

He'll take victor..easiest fight..jmm would counter the $hit outta amir...plus that weak azz chin of amir's is still right there..

    Marcos knocks him in 9

he beats ortiz ...nice style to go up against at this point in amir's career

THAN AGAIN GBP MIGHT NOT WANNA MATCH 2 OF THEIR YOUNGEST STARTS JUST YET

JMM is the toughest fight for Khan of the 3 followed by Ortiz who, Maidana is an easy fight for Amir.

  5. You expect him to steamroll Maidana? All Maidana has to do is land one punch on Khan's chin and it's lights out. Not even a good punch.

So the better option to beat him would be someone who has more chance of actually landing that mediocre punch that would spark Khan out? I think that was the argument....

But isn't Ortiz fighting Harris in Sept? Khan should fight Maidana because he's the mandatory challenger.

He said "lets have Maidana next" in New York.

Now he "says" ortiz maidana or JMM

Safe to says its JMM and you fanboys know damn well it aint gonna be Maidana

Khans glass whiskers make this fite or a fight with any noted puncher a non option

Yes it appears however they dont have enough confidence in his cheen,

how long can they duck this guy, seems to me that Maidana is beatable and GBP want somebody else to beat him as the risk to Khans cheen is too much

ok assuming the options are jmm, maidana, hatton, ortiz ill rank them in what i believe to be order of difficulty.

jmm (i would favour jmm in this matchup)
ortiz (has the mix of speed, skill and power to give han troubles, but i favour khan)
hatton/maidan (both of these fights kha wins within 3 rounds IMO)

now for the sake of shutting up haters it would be this order

maidana (apparently the next best thing since sugar ray robinson)
jmm/hatton/ortiz (he fights these he is "ducking" the next best thing sinece ray robinson)

IMO, the responsible boxing org. should enforce the mandatory challenge. As for Maidana fighting decent opposition, he did fight Ortiz and Kotelnik.

The only way that Khan doesn't face JMM next is if JMM elects not to fight him; otherwise, GB and Khan obviously prefers this match-up.
