Pintor, bit of a close/dodgy SD...actually Zarate pissed it to be honest but didn't get the nod (with the knockdown I had it 146-138 Zarate)
I know, thats why I edited my post twice, and it still doesn't make any sense ...Zarate won it easy...he was certainly a class act in "defeat", no hystrionics at all **WBVA has opened up a whole new supply of old/new fights that I wouldn't normally have access to...someone has just upped an alan Rudkin double that i'm looking forward to once i've finished downloading a couple of mexican cards
I know people like to whinge about how **** it is to be a boxing fan these days but you can D/L fights for free that were impossible to get a few years back. The glass is def, half full rather than half empty IMHO.:good
Ruins the mystique of the fighters abit, there is something special about seeing only 2 minutes of a ATG fighter and that is all we have to go on sort of thing.
Yeah, I see what you are saying. But its still better to have that option. Getting tapes of the American cards at a tenner a go used to be a PITA.
Yeh it is brilliant. For a while I was downloading everything, now I just download the fights I want to see/have time to see.
Ive been watching some Roy Jones fights baby, R.J will never die..........R.J will never die down..!!!! This content is protected [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=THyvwFsh1Ss"][/ame]
Ugh, tough one. Joyi has a size and reach advantage over everyone in the Minimumweight division and he uses it pretty well, utilising the jab to control the range then getting off flurries of hooks. Plus his defence seems pretty good, with good head and upper body movement. Gonzalez applies constant pressure behind a high guard and jab and cuts off the ring well. Then when on the inside he unleashes his combinations to the head and body. Both hit hard and both seem to be pretty durable. I've never seen either hurt, although admittedly there is not much footage of either so I think a lot of it is guesswork. Personally, I think the early rounds would probably go to Joyi as he boxes Gonzalez at range. But as the fight goes on I think Gonzalez will catch up with him as Joyi starts to tire from the constant pressure and hard punches Gonzalez lands. I don't think Gonzalez will get discouraged. He will keep coming until he gets his man. So I'll go out on a limb and say Gonzalez late TKO or close decision. Genuine 50/50 fight imo. P.S. I'm a bit of a Gonzalez fan so I may be a wee bit biased.
Joyi gives up his height too much for my liking, Gonzalez is far more adpatable and fluid and would win a UD IMO. Good anaylisis thouh.
Yeah he does. Likes to bang a bit it seems. Against Garcia it didn't seem to matter though as he was slipping everything and Garcia was pretty slow. Gonzalez would make him pay. Hopefully the fight will happen, but it will have to happen soon. Gonzalez is moving up in 2011 I read somewhere I think.
