Ward vs Pascal.. Who wins? (Before tonight's fight gets underway)

    Before tonight's fight gets underway... how do you evaluate Pascal's skills? Should he really be in the ring with Dawson.. well a interesting match on paper would be him vs Andre Ward...


    I think tonight's fight is better than what some Pascal haters think.. he will give Dawson a run for his money, but at the end, Dawson will prevail in a close unanimous decision.. but i regards to this matchup.. i think Pascal is so underrated, he would come out with the split on Andre Ward.. (even though Pascal lost to Froch who lost to Kessler who lost to Ward)

    I think Ward is versatile enough to win a UD, he can fight well from the outside and on the inside.

    Ward's seen guys like Pascal many times, dime a dozen. Pascal is yet to see a guy like Ward at all, even after tonight. Ward UD, 120-108. Not just a shutout, a likely no hitter.

    Ward would win quite easily, I think he will be a p4p top 3. Tough to think about though because these 3( Pascal, Dawson, and Ward) are my 3 favorite active fighters.

    Bro, if you're trying to say that Ward could bet Dawson I'd have to totally disagree with you.... Ward is so athletic but his ring presence is great.. but so is Dawson's... I think Dawson would UD Ward too

    Have you seen the Froch fight?.. Pascal was brawling with Froch.. and then the Diaconu fight?... Pascal pulled out of the brawl and started boxing.. I think this guy uncannily boxes in and out with the best at 168/175.. i think offensively, he has a lot.. its his defense that's suspect (to me)

    Yes good post. Pascal has bad defense but a warrior's heart. He'll give Dawson some problems I'm sure though Chad should pull it off. Won't be surprised to see an upset though.

    He wasnt fighting on the inside against Froch they were standing in front of each other brawling but they wernt on the inside, Ward-Green is infighting not Froch-Pascal. Diaconu isnt that good he's pretty one-dimensional and is very small for the weight, he was tailor-made for a fast guy like Pascal.

    Yeah same here.. that heart is good for us fans.. but defense would help his career go further.. if he does lose.. i hope he takes on Glen Johnson and bounces back

    I think Diaconu is tailor made for a lot of guys... just like Margarito lol... but with the Froch fight.. they were fighting on the outside but Froch kept holding his arm or grabbing his head and hitting him.. that might be fighting on the outside but I'm pretty damn sure it felt like they were fighting in close quarters.. talk about grabbing, hitting after the bell, swinging after breaks.. you're looking at a fight that was a brawl... Ward is known or mentioned when it comes to rough house tactics.. so you can't say Pascal hasn't been there and held his own .. even though Ward is probably better at it

    Even if Diaconu isn't Chad Dawson, you still think Pascal won't fight on the outside and mix it up tonight? He might not succeed but I bet you he'll attempt to do it. He's going to think about jabbing Dawson way before he decides to go crazy and make war.

    I never said they were fighting on the outside, they were standing at mid-range exchanging. Also, Pascal tends to be a little too wide with hs punches sometimes, something I think Dawson will exploit tonight with his straighter punches and something I think Ward would take advantage of. Dont get me wrong I really like Pascal, and would favour him over most fighters at the weight, but I think Ward has too much smarts for him.
