Dawson's Promoter: Pascal's Headbutt Was Intentional

Gary Shaw, the promoter for Chad Dawson, thought the headbutt by Jean Pascal in the eleventh round was intentional. Pascal won a unanimous eleven round technical decision over Dawson to unify the WBC/IBO light heavyweight

titles. Dawson was behind on the cards, but he had Pascal in all sorts of trouble in the eleventh round. There was a clash of heads that opened up a a very bad cut above Dawson's right eye. The doctor quickly stopped the fight.

 

I agree with Gary "The Neutral" Shaw.

 

HBO wanted Dawson to win the fight, but even they had to say it was accidental. Dawson is a very sore loser, but you can lose when you are used to fighting older fighters most of the time and Dawson did not fight very often.

 

Of course Shaw is gonna say **** to protect his fighter but fact is it was unintentional.

 

if it was intentional he certainly did it perfectly.
in the replay Dawson looked more at fault than Pascal, because he was the one coming forward.

In my opinion Dawson and his team are just sore losers.

Oh well! I can't say that I am shocked to hear this comment. It was clearly in Pascal's corner game plan to intentionally head butt Dawson in the 11th round... yeah right..
