Granite? He was out on his feet in the 11th. Granted, he may have survived the last round, but the punishment he was gonna take would've swayed it to a draw. Either way, Pascal is the winner, but this is a fight that warrants a rematch more than anyother! Let's see if Pascal is a true champion who truely believes he has Chad's number. Cus' if he waits out this mandatory I'm not buying Pascal.

give the man his props though. He took advantage of a tentative Dawson who just didn't let his hands go. Just like Alexander and Cloud last week. Rematch is certain death for Jean

 Eh? How do you think scoring in boxing works? Pascal was 7 rounds up on one card and 4 rounds up on the other two.
So how would a big last round for Dawson where Pascal survived but took lots of punishment result in draw?

Even if he had dropped Pascal twice and won the round 10-7 he would have still lost a UD.
There was no way for it to be a draw. None.

I agree he has a great chin, but a great chin doesnt stop the ref stepping in if you are constantly taking flush shots. He was there to be stopped in the last two rounds.

Pascal would have won with the headbutt. Dawson was hurt more than once. Pascal might have stopped Dawson. Remember, Pascal was coming back at the time of the headbutt. Pascal was never in any danger of getting stopped.

the stoppage was correct. if that cut had been left, he would of been damaged.

...Pascal was hurt a few times in there. He could've been stopped. Imagine if Dawson had Joe Louis' finishing instinct and tell me Pascal was never getting stopped, brother. Dawson had the power to hurt him and showed it and didn't have the balls to press it.

This . Great post. Dawson needs a big fight to keep him from falling further and that should be with Bute - Pascal now has options to unify against Cloud or the other two belt holders (I think Pascal should do this - become undisputed LHW champion without too much trouble - only cloud could hold a candle to him) or even rematch Froch like you said. He can now make a lot of money from boxing.

Why didn't you make this thread BEFORE the fight happened?

Why should he have to work himself back up again, losing a decision while top of a division hardly puts him down very far in the rankings, he's still the toughest fight out there for Pascal.
