After Pascal easily beat Dawson , has anyone gained more respect for Froch?

I expect about 100 more threads similar to this in the next week by every single British poster. To this day we have threads about how awesome and inhuman Kessler is to keep Calzaghe's record looking alive. This one will be ugly...

To be fair tho we wouldnt need these posts if people gave fighters like Froch the respect he deserved. He fights anyone , anywhere and has the best resume at 168 or atleast one of the best, yet gets flamed to high heaven

I know that plenty of people didnt rate Pascal and as such they didnt see it as a decent name on Froch's resume.

I think last night's fight did the world of good for Froch's rep for the non believers out there

No one questioned his resume, if anyone does then they're foolish. He, and the rest in the super six, put an end to questions regarding resume when they all signed to make that tournament.

The issue here isn't Froch, it's ******s that pretend to support him. Not far different from the 12 or 13 ******s that supported Calzaghe from the Manfredo extravaganza all the way to his permanent retirement.

I respect Froch but it has little to do with the thing that happened last night that no doubt caused Froch to spontaneously and furiously start to masturbate until he was sore and fall asleep with a grin frozen on his face.

I'm not a Froch fan nor hater, but I always respected him... and find his fights quite entertaining.

To be fair Pascal was tailormade for Froch. I do not mean that Pascal's style makes Froch looks good, but Pascal likes to trade and go on a war. Froch likes to fight these type of guys the most and IMO he has more chance winning these type of fights than when he fight slicksters... Pascal lost because Froch was willing to trade and outtraded him on some occasion. Even though the fight was much closer then the scorecards reveal, Froch won this one.

The fact that Pascal beat Dawson doesn't neccesarily add to Froch's legacy IMO. We have to look at their legacy seperately... We can't see it like:
    "Froch > Pascal > Dawson"

Pascal didn't beat Dawson "easily", and no way someone like Froch would beat Dawson.

For being the top light heavyweight who won more than one belt at the weight and actually had unifying in plan. Unlike Calzaghe who won a paper title and kept it fighting bartenders over there for over 15 defenses. At least Dawson was hungry for challenging fights and was desperately looking for any even if losing was an option and he went over to Pascal's backyard with HIS belt. He didn't have "flight sick" demands when fighters are in their primes only for the sickness to fade away when they are all beyond shot and old coming off losses like fraud Calzaghe.

and yet it took calzaghe 46-0 fights, won 5 titles, was sucessful at 2 weight divisions, beat 2 american greats in b-hop (who went on to whoop another hypejob in pavlik) and rjj, beat Mikel kessler, chris eubank and the 'next mike tyson' Jeff Lacy and still.....only got to 4th or maybe 3rd in most p4p lists.....remind me again what Dawson did to get to that 3rd spot? oh yeah, not half the achievements and he gets staright to that spot because.....hes american.

if a euro fighter had only just scraped past an ancient glen johnson on 2 occasions you would be calling him a bum, dawson does it and hes a nail on top 5 p4p!

I think froch could easily go up a division and be effective.. So did you think Pascal had no chance of beating Dawson. l.o.l
