I stand corrected :thumbsup...either way, it should be a good fight and closer than both sets of fans seem to be reckoning. I'll watch as an impartial observer.

Some of these Irish are just so one eyed and biased it's unbelievable.

Even trying to claim fighters who's last Irish ancester died in the Tudor era

So you've lost the ability to read as well as reason -

"Darren Barker believes he is ‘the biggest fighter in the country’ - and has vowed to prove it on Friday"

You dozy simpleton - you are suited to this forum with the fúcktards that troll it.

 You do realise the moronic irony of that post dont you!

p.s. who are we claiming? Just because some people born in this country would rather not be associated with the likes of you means that we are "claiming" people. We claim nothing - they claim us! there is a difference - now crawl back under your rock.

    Typical rancid Leeds scum.

You Brits are just as biased, if not more. The last I heard you lot were getting your knickers in a twist about Macklin's Irish ancestory although both his parents are Irish and only the other day there was discussion of including a Polish fighter in the British rankings

Didn't take you long to respond, did it :hey

So do you admit that many Irish fans are biased?

The fact that whenever a person mentions Rendall Munroe makes one of you lot come on and start with the ''Dunne would have beat him'' stuff proves the point.

Also the constant ''he's not British, he's Irish'' crap is very pedantic.

It's a place to discuss boxing, not semantics. Take all that **** to the ****** room and your precious Irish boxing thread.

    Envy?

    What am I envious of?

As I've explained to you before I've got Irish ancestry too - probably on a par with what some of the English holders of the ''Irish'' title have!

I was born in England, therefore I'm English.

I don't think it's right that foreigners/immigrants can fight for the British title or represent us in other sports on residency or whatever, but I don't make the rules.

    you dumb, dumb fúck!!

    http://news.boxrec.com/news/2010/im-biggest-fighter-country-says-darren-barker

If Macklin was as British as clotted cream and invading other peoples countries then I would still support him in this again!!

Want to add to the avatar bet? Three month avatar of the winner choice and one month self imposed ban from ESB's British forum. Deal? :good

It didn't take you long to get your two cents in either did it? Everyone on here is biased to a certain degree anyone who says different is lying, it's just Irish posters who are called on it everytime. If I think a British fighter would beat an Irish one I'd have no problem saying it but Dunne would have had the edge over Munroe and Macklin or Lee have the edge over Barker, that's just how things stand right now. I was a big McCullough fan but I knew he was getting beat by Hamed so I won't call a fight for the Irish fighter just because of where they come from.
It's people like you and Rob who always seem to have a problem with Irish boxers nationality, if you didn't keep bringing it up, like in this thread, we would have no need to argue about it.
