Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton. A hitman does his killing in a stealthy way. Or at least he's supposed to. Ricky goes in all guns blazing so he's not a hitman. Ricky "the cowboy" Hatton would be much better for him. Now for Tommy Hearns it was appropriate that name. Cuz when Tommy Hearns sensed he was on top, he didn't get over-excited and start blasting away, but he picked the shots. Like a sniper making sure he's got the right spot, and that he's gonna hit it. He won't pull the trigger before then.

Carl "the cobra" Froch. Look at all the traits a cobra has. Fast, slippery, super reactions. Carl is no cobra. Carl "the caveman" sounds too harsh but a caveman is old skool just like Carl. Those mutha****as had to hunt sabre tooth tigers and ****, they were no weaklings. Maybe Carl "old school" Froch or Carl "fearless" Froch. That's appropriate cuz that mutha****a takes on tough opponent after tough opponent. He aint scared.

"Magic" Matthew Hatton-Magic is supposed to make people go "wow", makes peoples jaws drop in amazement.

A lot of these boxing nicknames are unoriginal and don't say anything about the character or fighting style of the boxer. Paul Williams is one of my favourite boxers, but the "punisher"? C'mon man. Paul "daddy long legs" Williams would've been better. Or Paul "Dhalsim" Williams, or Paul "lanky" Williams or Paul "long arms of the law" Williams. He could come out in a policeman's outfit.

^^Fully agree with this post. Froch and Hatton's nicknames don't really fit.

Also your nicknames for Williams are awesome.

Chris "the nightmare" Arreola is another one. That would be appropriatre for a boxer that likes to play mind games. Maybe someone like Hopkins, or even Tyson. I can imagine Tyson's opponents seeing him in their dreams, but not Chris Arreola.

Ricardo 'El Matador' Mayorga. Very few matadors give the bulls free shots to their temple.

Jeff 'Left Hook' Lacy... best shot was right hand not that he landed either on Calzaghe.

Not a Khan hater but billing him as 'King' Khan was appalling

Dont like the nicknames with racial bases like 'Brown Bomber' Joe Louis or 'Boston Tar Baby' Sam Langford. Inappropriate to say the least, glad times have almost changed
