Well hes there because nobody wants to fight him...he beat marg...whether u like it or not he beat sergio, cintron,a past primed winky and has fought at 147-160...the one loss he avenged with a first round blowout...a motivated p-dub is scary...he just doesnt look as motivated as he used...the dude was throwing damn near 120 punches every round, now for some reason his footwork looks horrible and he forgot how to use that rangy jab...only time will tell

PW is #26 on my P4P list. He lost to Quintana, got a gift against Martinez and was losing to Kermit before the guy jumped out of the ring. He won a close fight with Margo, won the rematch with Quintana and beat old Winky Wright. That's not enough to break into my top 20.

He got the decisions over the people he fought but he sure as hell didnt win em all. Martinez beat him, Cintron was boxing his ears off & was wayyy ahead when fight was stopped. Add to that how close the Margarito fight was it all rested on the 12 round. Too soon to call Williams p4p anything

Know why??? In the first fight Quintana gave him a boxing lesson for 12 rounds. In the rematch one lucky punch ended the fight. What would have happened had not that punch landed ?? Another embarassing decision loss most likely

He hit Carlos with a combination that was there the entire first fight, but he never took advantage of it. That secoond fight he was determined to cash in early... No luck about it.

And he lost the first fight 7-5... not exactly a schooling, but a clear loss.

Either way, it's extremely biased to just eliminate a win that he earned from a discussion about how good he is. He beat a guy in one round, so we just don't count that fight in his favor... ****in stupid.

Offensively, PWill possesses excellent tools and his workrate is extraordinary. My problem with him has always been his defensive, or rather general indifference towards it. Quite simply, he eats too many shots for a fighter of his athletic ability and skill set.

    Hoops
    PS- Sergio beat him!

He has zero defense, huge size advantage, a good chin, work rate, very good stamina and average power. He's a good fighter but not really special but who knows, he can improve.

Williams is very Margarito-esque. A little more skilled than Margo, but cut from the same cloth- spotty defense, relies on a big size advantage, can take a punch, throws alot and comes in to fights in shape. Gutsy, fights with heart. His style doesn't translate particularly well to moving up in weight or for supreme longevity, which is why I think his team's looking for a big payday at a lower weight and doesn't show interest in an extended campaign vs natural middleweights.

okay at 154, not good at 160.

That's the thing Williams never improves lol it's probably his most extraordinary quality.
