I don't know, That punch Tarver landed on Jones Chin could be repeated by Dawson. BTW, What is considered "Prime" Jones Jr? Middleweight, Super Middleweight, Light Heavyweight?
Any version of Jones before he went up to heavyweight would destroy Dawson and any other fighter in the present. Now the super middleweight Jones in my opinion is the greatest of all time!
Two points. Number one, Tarver is a noted puncher at light-heavy, Dawson isn't. Number two, that clearly wasn't a prime Roy. Prime RJJ is normally considered by most to be 168.
Its something of a myth though that some people claim that roy jones had a glass chin throughout his career. He took some hard punches from John ruiz a heavyweight and wasnt hurt.He fought some big punchers throughout his career and obviously they landed some hard punches on him through out the fight. He was knocked down once in his prime and he wasnt even hurt then.I think his chin beceme fragile either because of his big weight drop or he went downhill extremely fast as a boxer.I think he had a decent chin in his prime
How many southpaw "Postmen" did Jones Jr. fight at 168/175lbs? (Shot out to Reggie Johnson, Excluded from the Postman comment"
