I was surprised when I saw that it was you who had made this thread. My first reaction was "the ****? am I seeing things?"

I think what you really meant to ask was who would win between Pac/Hearns and Mayweather/Hearns, so to answer your question I think Hearns whoops both of them, and easily. Maybe on the same night.

 

Yep, at Welter I think Hearns could well score early K.O's against both Floyd and Pac. Neither would beat him at any weight in ten attempts IMO.

If the Floyd that fought Oscar fought the Hearns that fought Duran.....:yep

 

H2H Hearns is a hard nights work for any welter in boxing history.

 

There a few I'd pick to not lose

Leonard, obviously.

Sugar Ray Robinson: probably stop Hearns late IMO

Kid Gavilan: the chin, offensive variety, mixed game and ferocity to take Hearns out of his destructive mode, and to counteract Tommy when he goes into boxer mode. I think Gavilan could pull out a very tight decision against Hearns, although over a 3 fight series I'd favour Hearns to win at least one (on points, naturally)

Basilio: Super hard and difficult to dissuade. Hearns would probably smash Basilios face to bits though. Basilio has a chance to win on workrate, as he has the punch resistance to not get annihilated IMO, and you'd need better than a 'good' chin to take Hearns offence. Same rules apply to Mickey Walker.

Luis Rodriguez: Lanky as ****, could fight on the inside as well as box, it's his awkwardness that makes me think Hearns would find it hard to time Rodriguez, and the battle of the jabs would be one of the greatest in history. Rodriguez, close decision.

Hearns is a bad matchup for Henry Armstrong IMO, which really says something for Hearns

 

Walcott? Tough as old boots and able to get inside?

ATGs like Ross and McClarin would have a mare with Hearns.

Walcott is a difficult pick without film, but judging by what I have read on him he'd smash Hearns inside a few rounds. Unbelievable considering he was only 5'2, but then, by all accounts he was a truly unbelievable fighter, #13 on my top 100.

I agree entirely that Hearns would beat Ross and McLarnin, he might even do the unthinkable and stop both. Ross soaked up an astonishing amount of punishment against Homicide Hank in his final fight, but I think Hearns' massive power would see him cause Ross even more problems, especially considering Ross won't be able to hurt Tommy too much.

McLarnin is just too straight up against Hearns for my liking.

Hatton only wins if Hearns is a dead man at the weight. Otherwise, Hearns sparks him inside 2.

 

Hearns was beatable without a doubt, but only by Kings or when he moved way up in weight....lets face it Ricky would be shown up, but thats no disgrace against the Hitman

 

Before anybody thinks No Mas is off his head, let me tell you that he's just pulling our leg. Don't get it twisted: No Mas is one of the brightest family members on this dial. He saved me twice from dropping money on Cotto vs. Margarito and really loading up on Pavlik over Executioner (he didn't really lol)...Oh and No Mas and Beeston are like Ali/Frazier; ie. 2 Heavyweights with a clash of styles that makes it sweet to watch the ebb and flow!

 

Boxrec have Hearns the best lightmiddleweight ever .I think a mismatch man for real no disrespect to Hatton .Hearns beats Mayweather and Pacquiao as well and probably any welterweight in the history of boxing
