and how many times did RJJ get dropped and came back to win?

seriously Joe is a Great Fighter who always went for the best to further cement his Legacy late in his career.. the fight would be competative and could go either way

I think Prime vs. Prime, it would be a good fight. However I would favor Jones Jr.

RJJ never dropped Calzaghe with a punch, Calzaghe was never hurt by any punch RJJ threw in their fight. If Calzaghe fought prime RJJ, prime RJJ would never smash Calzaghe with his forearm.

Without that forearm, it's possible that Calzaghe would never be dropped by RJJ at all.

I've been hit with both. I would rather be hit with a forearm than a fist, even if it is gloved.

If Jr. had been at his best, there is more reason to believe his speed and accuracy would not have missed and that fist would have went directly into Joe's face.

And didn't Joe admit he was hurt by that punch?

    It happens. Get over it.

Joe's been hurt before and has come back to win.

The argument for Roy's side would be....can he keep Joe hurt and even get him out of there.

There's a difference between being hit by a punch and something else. You develop resistance to certain types of trauma. Calzaghe's never been hit by a forearm smash before. It's the same thing with some guys being affected more by left hooks than by straight right hands.

RJJ kept hitting Calzaghe with straight up clean punches that Calzaghe allowed him to throw. Calzaghe never gave a damn about any of them. Treated them like mosquito bites.

Funny how ppl say an old Jones floored Calzaghe making it sound like Joe was in his prime at the time.
Calzaghe is to much work rate for Jones and therefore a prime v prime would result in the same outcome as there fight in 2008. Totally 1 sided with Jones gettin battered.

Jones to coach Merk,"I`m trying but i just cant get him"

 just imagine the millions calzaghe would have made by beating a prime jones. i don't know why he would pass that up if this would have been such an easy fight for him. joe even knows he wasn't going to beat jones back then.

Jones crushes him. There's a reason Calzaghe never wanted any of it and thought flying to America was pure nonsense after he won his paper title against a past it Eubank yet all of that changed when Jones was shot to death and has been for over 5 years.

Calslappy was champ in 1997, it was a reason he didn't want RJJ from 1997-2003. RJJ, would have smoked his azz in 8 rounds to say the least.

    Stop. Seriously, just stop.

Joe's a pro fighter. He was bound to get hit with a foreman at some point in his career. From amateurs to the time he retired. From fights to especially sparring. Are you telling me he was never hit by a forearm?
    It's a damn forearm; not a kick.

My Father closed-line me when I was a kid when I got out of line. Joe's father is Italian as well. I'm sure little Joe got the forearm smash when he stepped out of line.

He may have just not seen it coming.
