Jean Pascal vs Bernard Hopkins.

    Hopkins was one of the few called out by Pascal. If his showdown with Bute doesn't happen, what about this one?

    On the surface, Pascal seems to be the type of fighter who can trouble Hopkins because of his hand speed and blazing combinations, which usually forces Hopkins to cover up and retreat as he's a defensive fighter first and foremost. But i see two huge factors for Hopkins: in-fighting and counter punching. Pascal lunges in all the time and i think Hopkins can make him pay. And Pascal doesn't even know the word "in-fighting". I think Hopkins can maul him on the inside.

    So what do you think?

    For the record, i think Pascal outwork Hopkins. But Pascal won't look great doing it.

    B-Hop would make it look easy for the 1st half of the fight, whether he could keep it up.........that would be the difference.
    If he has what he had v Calzaghe, Pavlik etc, I think he wins.
    Dawson presented Pascal with too many opportunities, B-Hop is the polar opposite of that.

    he cant handle a fast slick boxer with a good workrate, both pascal and dawson beat him.

    Pascal would beat him up. Hopkins is too old for a fight like this, wanna see him rolling on the floor again faking fouls?

    Thought not.

    That would be a good fight for Hopkins to take. Re-Winning The Ring LHW championship at 46 years of age would be great. I think he beats Pascal, too experimented and he would out-think Pascal and make him pay everytime he lunges in with his flurries. But Pascal would make him fight for sure.

    i was just as dissapointed in pascal as i was dawson...after the fight there is more of a blue print on pascal then on dawson.... one fighter couldnt get off till the 9th round the other seemed to be gassed after the 9th... if hopkins can fight like he did against pavlik i think he knocks pascal out... if he fights like the epic fail that was hopkins-jones II then he gets out pointed due to pascals activity in the first third of the fight...
    I sat and watched the fight with my buddy who is haitian and i appreciated that he gave his nation someting to cheer about. but even my buddy had to admit pascal wouldnt last10 rounds with bute..he is a highlite reel waiting to happen......who ever gets to em first will win the lottery....

    This is a horibble, utterly HORRIBLE clash of styles though. I dont wanna see this fight.
