If that supposedly ever to happen the fight would have to be at a catchweight. There's no way that Adamek would be able to make 175 unless he pulls a Gandhi and goes on a hunger strike. Can Adamek even make the cruiserweight limit? And who knows how Chad will look at a higher weight.
Chad just fought a stupid, tenative fight. Even when he had Pascal out on his feet in the 11th he backed off, and then the clash of heads killed it.
Get your money ready for the rematch. Joe retired rather than face an elite fighter anywhere close to their prime so I don't know where your coming from with that. I guess since he beat two over the hill champions and Kessler he gets to win every fantasy match up from here on out.
Pascal was not out on his feet like the HBO crew said he was. Didn't you see how Pascal motioned at Dawson to bring it on. That guy has a solid chin he just makes it look worse than what it really is.
Too bad American fight fans aren't as thick as the British fans. Dawson would have about 40,000,000 cash in the till by now and would be retired and doing blow.
Like ****. Jean Pascal is exactly the type of fighter that Joe Calzaghe has throughout his resume with everyone else considering him to be a bum solely cause Calzaghe beat him. This is the same Pascal who lost to Froch and has looked beatable on a number of occasions. Against Dawson who everyone considered P4P talent and a guy who would beat Calzaghe? Laughable. This is exactly why you need to rate longevity on a career like a Calzaghe or even a Jones Jr - why did they never lose to a Pascal? Or a Jermain Taylor? etc.
Bull**** after the counter uppercut in the 11th he was out on his feet. Dawson was just so indecisive about what he wanted to do.
He stumbled then recovered. Then hit Chad with a solid counter and Chad backed off. Has it not occurred that Chad was tentative because Pascal MADE him tentative?
(Me raising my voice) Dawson isnt making excuses and he doesn't need you to do it for him!! Do you understand that?
Astute observers have known for a long time that passivity was one of Dawson's weaknesses. It cost him the fight this time. So I agree we didn't see learn anything new about Dawson.
Im not any fan of Chad if u think i look for excuses for my idol (whats more, i was cheering for Pascal)... I just say what i saw. Didnt he seem rusty? Didnt he seem overtrained? Wasnt his tactic... hmm... odd? He was way too inactive in that fight in my opinion and its not what he had done against Johnson (II) and Adamek.
Dawson did so many things wrong in this fight it's hard to imagine how anyone had him in the top p4p's... I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be there, but certainly if this was the only Dawson fight I'd ever seen I would make that conclusion without any hesitation. Dawson had no ability to pressure, he didn't know how to find holes, he didn't know what to do once he punched through Pascal and was out of position, he lacked confidence, he lacked the ability to assert himself... once the punches started to fly, against an opponent not named Tarver or Johnson, all of Dawson's weaknesses which were often time overshadowed by his considerable talents became glaring.
