Tavoris Cloud isnt a good fighter, isnt elite by any stretch of the imagination

He's a step lower then Jeff Lacy. A pressure fighter with no jab, no stamina, and fights in spurts. He was done physically within 3 rounds against Glen Johnson. As to why he and the old man leaned on eachother for 90% of the fight. He throws a descent left hook combo, but it has no power behind it. It was hilarious hearing his corner telling him how he just had to fight a round then he gets to come back to his corner and sit down lol and how after round 1 he was already resting his arms on top of the ropes.

If he fought Jean Pascal, he gets schooled. Cuz even though Pascal stamina sucks, he still can fight for more then 3 rounds before gassing.

 

Cloud would give a better fight against Pascal than "SAD" Chad Dawson did.

 

Pascal-Cloud would be a very entertaining fight.Both are somewhat limited but make up for it in aggression and heart.Pascal wins if it's in Montreal.

 

Cloud would lose every round. May even be stopped if Pascal went for it.

 

I highly doubt that. Pascal couldn't even win every round against Omar Pittman or Silvio Branco.

If a fight between these two ever materialized, no outcome would surprise me. They are both vulnerable and both pose threats to one another.

 

Cloud is built the the proverbial brick shithouse, he throws more punches than most lightweights, and he hits like a freaking truck. He ain't a walk in the park for anybody at 175.

 

the top fights at 175 are getting by more on physical athleticism (dawson, pascal and cloud) with pascal also using his heart something i feel is lacking in dawson. i feel a 45 year old hopkins knows too much for all 3 but i feel when a fighter is top 4 or in his divison he is 'elite' si in answer to this thread cloud imo is elite

Atleast hes dedicated and shows up in the best shape he can. thats 1 of the most important things you can ask for

 

From what i've seen of him he's a decent fighter, but i've only seen the fight against Johnson and the one against washed up Gonzalez

 

Cloud is crazy fast and is powerful. Pascal isn't very technically sound. They have more in common than any two LHWs I can think of right now. This is a fight that could end by KO. I would favor Pascal at this point but I wouldn't be surprised if went the other way.

 

He's very flat-footed. He might be, dare I say, comfotably outboxed by Pascal.

 

He didnt look good in his most recent fight. He looked decidedly average.

 

Again i didnt see his speed in his last fight, am i missing something?

 

he might not be elite, but he's a good fighter.
