The ref should had allowed chad's cut man at least 1min to dress cut then make decision. Most likely this would have made no difference but still, it's fair. The biggest hometown blood bath I can ever remember was AA vs. Miranda I in germany. that was ridiculous to allow AA to continue fighting. Chad was in much better shape then he was.

what the F is that stupid way of introducing the fighters? Instead of walking into the ring they stand on stage like they're about to sing in concert. It's why they call it an "entrance" song.....b/c the fighter actually enters the ring.

Hope Pavlik gets in the ring with Bute so we can see what's up. Hell, have the fight in Youngstown. I'm sure Bute would be all over it.

There is no venue in Youngstown that's big enough.

You got a point... home-cooking sucks in all it's various forms... and it's alive and well in Canada too...
    But why pick on Montreal?

I've seen blatent examples of this **** in The UK, Europe, Asia, The US... and just about anywhere else a hometown fighter plys his trade!

Corrupt **** goes on in boxing all over the world. You think Montreal is any different?

State the obvious and your going to take beating around here. I can't find anything to disagree with in your assessment.

Just because Pascal was ahead doesn't mean the stoppage wasn't corrupt. When is the last time a small cut towards the end of the 11th round lead to a stoppage like this? The Andrade fight was one of the most obvious signs of corruption by an official in the last twenty years. You would have to be hard up for money or out of your mind to steer a fighter towards Montreal at this time.

you really think that Andrade/Bute 1 was worst than Abraham/Miranda 1?

Booradley, to make things proper, they should simply insist in 3 judges from outside of Canada + try and make a case to the local authorities that a foreign referee is requested. These things can be negociated I'm sure, even if more than the promoters would be implicated in such a case...

They could still make all the money they want in Montreal and feel secure with the end results.

Since the first Andrade fight their was no canadian ref in any Lucian Bute fight. Even from Canada I agree with that, it's not that I dont think canadian referees are bad, but it's better for the sport. Wright is the biggest looser in the first Andrade fight, he will never again be a part of a world title.
