Great video. The Jirov, Peter, and Ruiz counters were explosive.

Smashing vid, thanks for sharing. He really was something else, and he's still a big favourite of mine. As fat and effed as he is now, he could probably still teach a master class on counter-punching to a lot of today's fighters..

He had fun performances to watch at every division he competed at.

Even at HW when he was fat and jiggled...I loved the things he did in the ring against Booker, Holyfield, Guinn.

LOL, only 1 sec of the Oquendo fight, 'cause that piece of lard got schooled for the rest of the other 35 min and 59 seconds :D

    QFT,

who else ever..that you can think of started at middle and went to heavy and still..displayed crazy good boxing skills and a solid chin.

Maybe Sam Langford and JT thats about all i know of. Think about that:cool:

    great vid :thumbsup

the funny thing is, before the Nunn fight, Toney was more of an aggressive pressure fighter than a counterpuncher - he was even considered one-dimensional!

Toney got schooled? Have you seen the fight?

It was a terrible performance by Toney, but Oquendo still couldn't school him. What did Oquendo do besides landing some jabs and rabbit punches? At least Toney scored with some hard right hands and had Oquendo wobbled, though they were few and far between. It was a close fight that could've gone either way.
