Ree's would be logical former world champion and he is ranked (11th with the WBO)

He would also be the highest fighter on the list as i dont see Ajose Olusegun pulling out of his WBC eliminator

I think Ree's is the best of a bad Bunch

No doubt he is the best of a bad bunch and he has a decent CV. Always had the feeling Paul wanted John O'Donnell though he has only had one fight around 140 I think. O'Donnell was calling him out a while back was he not?
Should be a good fight though- Rees probably isnt the most talented former world champion, but he comes to fight and hes got a big heart. If Paul actually boxes at range this time and doesn't brawl- he should be able to win comfortably enough on points I would say.

He would have the oppertunity to look very good as well! I was very disappointed with the Lauri fight. I had a lot of friends in america watching

"I thought you said he was slick and elusive":?

He was poor alright. He knows that as much as the rest of us. Got caught with an awful lot of silly shots and he is still getting constant treatment on his back which is a slight worry.

Hes got lots of room for improvement but Rees is made for him- shorter, charges in and is easy enough to hit. So this is his chance to impress- if it is Rees hes fighting of course! :deal

I thought Daws a while back as a "handy" defense. Brit champ, only 1 loss, not heavy handed etc... But I think most of us would prefer Rees over Daws. Would be a better fight to view and Rees has a better CV

I would be inclined to agree with you!

It was wishful thinking of me to suggest Rees :(

I thought Barry Hearn would want this fight on Sky Sports...?
What is Peters involvement with McCloskey these days?

That's bizarre. It would be just as handy for the Belfast fans to go to Dublin. Why didn't they have it there?

He was very involved with our hurlers this year, spoke a lot of sense and was a great addition to the setup according to a few of the lads on the panel. Himself and Davy Fitz are very pally.
