:good Quite possible bro and I'm not counting that out at all! I just think Floyd will be FORCED to fight.....even if he has it in his mind to make it boring. I doubt we'll se floyd shell up like Josh but he'll use a lot of foot work to try and control distance where Manny is gonna be controling PACE!

I've actually changed my prediction....I thought Floyd would win a UD in a very close competitive fight but based on Floyd being "FLOYD". Which bascially means the Floyd who NEVER shown the side he has when the fight with Manny seemed to be reality! Floyd is a fighter who is as great as he is based on his mental state...he's always MORE than confident in the outcome of Any opponent he faces but I see a completely different Floyd in this situation. That could be the deciding factor in this evenly matched fight between the TWO best! I really see Floyd's confidence in decline after this entire ordeal.

I like Pac via RTD11. Floyd quits on his stool.

Recently, I have been studying Floyd's fights since DLH, and his reduced movement will really hurt him against Pac. I think Pacquiao feints Mayweather into left hands all night and makes Mayweather quit.

Well why is Floyd on vacation then? If only he had as much confidence in himself as you guys do, this fight would have happened already!!! It's funny you bring that up in your post cuz those are very good points

2012 Floyd and Pac sign contract, most of fans interested in paying to view have died in forums speculating on when the fight would happen. A non regulation 60 x 60 ring is employed to allow ref Ricky Hatton room to be crained in and out of the ring.

i had to joke as my prediction of Pac not being able to hold up to a lww puncher/swarmer like Hatton turned out to be a little of the mark.

Good post. :good we have some differences in what we see but good post to say the least.

    Numbered by paragraph.
    1. Agreed. It really is a thing of beauty but yes it's vulnerable (not vulnerable to anyone though) because it is offensive.

2, I agree manny will come out somewhat strong early. I just think his strategy get's slowed down in 3 or 4 rounds by the effective countering and combinations off of those counters (forcing him to box). I do not feel he will be overwhelming Floyd. I think floyd fights in the shell like he did against mosley after being hurt. This is why I think he will slow down his out put because he will pay for not doing so (blatantly) and it isn't like he has ran through everyone he has faced with an anslaught. Floyd is the best he can ever face. Make him pay and he will slow down. Marquez made him pay for bad mistakes and he slowed down (marquez vs pac 2) thus making it a boxing match. I think he will be boxing and not fighting with reckless abandon. I don't even think he will be comfortable doing that when he sees speed simular to his for the first time.

3 and 4. Yes he is unpredictable but not completely. His moves are hard to stop even if you know they are coming but there is a piece of that movement that is predictable and available for the straight right. His speedy foot movement side to side, swinging while moving and keeping his feet properly spaced is really on another level. I think floyd can hit him with the straight right (out of a high guard shell) and then land the left hook.I think floyd will end up dictating the fight when the early round smoke clears.

    5. Floyd is whatever he has to be. Everyone in here has witnessed floyd hit his opponents with a blazing 3 punch combination before his opponent knew what happened. He might not do it all the time but he does do it a fair amount of time. People just only think of the one step back, leaning forward pop shot move he sometimes uses. He will not be able to use that against pac. He could get ricky hattened for trying such.

    6. I think you, like alot of posters can't vision manny slowing down at all. Not in the literal sense but in the strategic output sense. I don't see any of that stuff he had been doing to the slower opponents happening a whole fight with floyd. He will be more cautious than anyone has ever seen him IMO. He will have to outsmart instead of overwhelm because he will pay dearly for trying to overwhelm floyd.

    7. I feel josh had limited success because of manny. I think manny faught the superficial way he did because he knew he wasn't landing hardly anything (good bodywork tho) upstairs so he just swung until he couldn't swing no more. Manny knew clottey wouldn't swing more than one punch while manny was attacking. Clottey knew he was gonna get caught if he swung and chose not to while manny was attacking. Manny knowing the style in front of him being impenetrable is what prompted him to throw over 100 per round for the first time in his career. Not to mention he knew his head was being snapped back by the few shots coming back. I don't really think pac was baiting him, but in a sense he was. I think pac and roach just knew how to deal with a low output shell fighter from the start so they upped the punch output to win the fight. Still I can't say you are wrong or I am right. It's just our oppinions.

    8. The JMM vs floyd match up means nothing. Never thought JMM had a chance. Don't know why you brought it up. The 2nd fight between JMM and Pac does show things and wasn't that long ago anyway. At that time I didn't know if JMM was gonna be able to beat him because pac had vastly improved. The pac that faught JMM in the 2nd fight is not far off from what we see today, minus the muscle and strain of making a lower weight (we will just have to disagree on this line). Roach got to work on that footwork and right hand right after the Morales loss in 05. Three full years later when he faught JMM the second time he had vastly improved and was complete like I said.

    9. I agree it's gonna be good fight with some very shaky moments early. I see floyd taking it over and beating pac.

good well thought out post. We just have different oppinions and I respect yours. For all we know the fight could go a different way then either of us is thinking. Can't wait to see it though.

I used to say that if he went up to 135, those guys would kill him back in 04/05 time range. He has proved me wrong but I was smart enough to never bet real money against him. He is the truth.
